Is it possible to see who’s signed up so far?

Does this show the player list, or just for mods?

Re: Into the new ways of things

Hello and welcome back! You don't know me from back then, as I started playing in 2015. The only open tournament currently ongoing is Nexus, which is multi-platform. Do you have the free software called Discord? Hey. I don't have the software and usually play here through Android. I rarely use my P...

Any Austria or Italy who suicide rushes the other is going to doom them both, and the bots love to do this.

There's plenty of humans who do the same. That's where they've learned it.

Re: F2F-style live game Full Press (CET evening)

However, I do have permission to award points from the bank! I know some of you relished the opportunity to take my points away, but alas.

1st: 50 :points: points
2nd: 24 :points: points
3rd: 10 :points: points

Same tiebreaker deal as before. I still have some spots for next Monday, PM me!

Re: Should you ever *not* take Galicia in 1901S?

Has the Southern Hedgehog fallen out of favor these days? Yes, it has. Most people nowadays think taking Greece is necessary for Austrian survival. I am one of those. The Hedgehog is just a slow death. Especially when you play online, shooting for the stars is usually more preferred. There's always...

Re: Announcing the 2020 Masters Tournament

I'd much prefer 24 hours. The Nexus is slow enough at that speed. I hate 24 hours if people are in different time zones. Between work, sleep, and other stuff it makes coordinating and getting messages back and forth enough way too difficult. On most days, I'm online 16 hours.. Coordinating with peo...

Re: Should you ever *not* take Galicia in 1901S?

I've not bounced Gal a few times playing as Russia if I have good relationships with both Italy and Turkey. By agreeing to a Gal bounce you can be relatively confident in Austria's moves being to Gal, Serbia, and Albania which when tipped off to Italy allows him to walk right into Trieste with Rome...

Re: Introducing the first ever webDiplomacy Terminator Tournament!

A Key Lepanto is a well-known opening in which Italy moves through Trieste with Austria's permission. You can't get permission in a gunboat game, obviously, so it's interesting that the bots sometimes try it. :^) (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lepanto_opening) I presume the bots only learned from G...

F2F-style live game Full Press (CET evening)

To prepare some friends for the EDC, I will host at least two F2F-style live FP games at CET-timezone evenings. I'll need some more players to fill the roster. This will be excellent preparation for F2F games. Send me a PM if you're interested! Special rules: Game drawn at the end of 1907. 10min/pha...

Re: Introducing the first ever webDiplomacy Terminator Tournament!

Impressive.

I managed to get a 4WD after Italy attacked me, without Turkey opening against Russia. My problem was the imminent French solo, so I chickened out..

Re: Introducing the first ever webDiplomacy Terminator Tournament!

https://webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=250825 But only because Turkey opened anti-Russia. Nice! Also, Italy still convoyed to Syria, and did not move into ADR + Alb. So, that is the first time I see an Italy that aborted its attack on Austria in 02. Most importantly, Italy didn't open to Venice....
