Is it really an achievement if its not a real game?
Why would not be a real game?

Re: How Do We Feel About Not Even Trying to Win?

I agree with this, and your whole post, to a large extent. Many different ways of valuing and prioritising things make the game interesting; for example being solo-driven, wanting to reach a draw, playing to a particular scoring system, seeking revenge when wronged, and doing any of those some exte...

Re: How Do We Feel About Not Even Trying to Win?

To me, the fact that different people value and prioritise different things in different ways is what makes this game so interesting and endlessly playable. It is the diversity in our player base that allows for variety in gameplay. Watching people in this thread try to beat out that diversity make...

Re: How Do We Feel About Not Even Trying to Win?

2 ways draw is an exam for your cold blood. :) http://webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=242636#gamePanel I hate this result with a fiery passion. Germany has ten units holding away from the front line doing nothing. TEN! That is horrendous. Fortunately this match is not for making you happy. ;-)

So bad, Russia could have taken Serbia, Germany could have tried to sneak into Vienna. Disrespectful towards the other players.
... In your opinion. ;)

Re: American Empire Map: Lake Ontario and Lake Erie

Thank you! Also, on the map Lake Huron is physically connected to Lake Superior but the variant information only says you can move directly from Lake Michigan to Lake Huron but doesn't say you can move from Lake Superior directly to Lake Huron? Can you? No, you can't. The map is not perfect in this...

But why did you make 7 separated games?
so that each person gets each power
I did not know it is possible.

Just curious... can you give an example of the tactical or strategic value of muting someone? Honestly i can't think of anything :?
There was a game, where if I do not mute someone who I had to work with, I would have lost my mind. He bothered me so much. So I played like in a gunboat. :)

...Also, on webdip, 'winning' is gaining tokens. So, even a 6 way draw is a concrete win because you get more coins than you bet.
And what about the SoS games? :)

Re: Auto Move Where Player Has No Choice

That is one weird edge case. I had no idea that webdiplomacy didn't update the supply centre chart after adjudicating the fall retreats phase. I would call it a bug. It was in spring. If tunis is a home center, and the unit move out from there in autumn, Italy could build something. But you must kn...

Re: Auto Move Where Player Has No Choice

qrzy's post doesn't make sense to me. We are talking about the builds phase where a player has already been eliminated, so they cannot participate in any draw. I was just caught out by this today and received a warning in a live game that I missed my adjustment after elimination. Sorry to the playe...
