Re: Announcing the 2021 WebDip World Cup!

Brazil is in! We're up to 11 teams with about a week to go in signups. Would love to get to 21.

Re: Announcing the 2021 WebDip World Cup!

Hi all, I've been getting some PMs from newer players to the site about not being able to register for the tournament using the on-site tool due to RR requirements. I'm just sending this out to assure everyone that this isn't an issue - you're fully registered if I've accepted you in this thread. On...

Re: Announcing the 2021 WebDip World Cup!

Both Great Britain teams have been added to the official tournament page, as well as a second Australian team, Team Great Lakes, and Team Eastern Canada.

The field is starting to fill up!

Edit: Oh, and Bob I fixed your name

Re: Announcing the 2021 WebDip World Cup!

Okay - so recap. If you are not on the tournaments site then your team has not been officially accepted. Its been a busy week for me, so if I've missed a PM please just ping me again. I know there's like ~6 teams that I'm just waiting to hear back on names or finalized lists of members, and another ...

Re: A monumental achievement

THM came in and subbed for Italy and immediately changed the balance of power with his different negotiation style. When Russia was crushed, the last draw holdout gave in. Even though I only had my draw up because Italy was threatening me with annihilation otherwise

Re: Fairbot Belt challenge

I've gotten the opposite impression, Eden. I have a perfect record against the bot as Austria. And in general I believe Austria is slightly favored in this variant.

Re: Fairbot Belt challenge

Yeah my original intent was to use the opportunity to grab both neutrals and swap fleet and army positioning (so army could move to StP and fleet out to Baltic). I thought the bot would support to Munich so I wouldn't lose Kiel.

Obviously losing every 50/50 didn't help either...

Announced teams? Soon to be 4. Teams that I know are made and are sitting on the sidelines? Probably 13.

Re: Announcing the 2021 WebDip World Cup!

A reminder to everyone to PM your teams once you have them complete. If we end up stuck between tournament sizes (14 vs 21 vs 28) I'll be taking teams on a first-come first-serve basis.

I know there are at least 10 of you lurking out there.

Re: France vs Austria Bot Challenge

I have zero clues why that fleet in Brest didn't move to MAO to block Geofram in 1904. That seems like a monumental miscalculation by the bot. Yeah, some stragglers behind stalemate lines can be dealt with and can be ignored (mostly if France sneaks behind Austria's lines) But an Austrian fleet in M...

Re: A monumental achievement

Is it really an achievement if its not a real game? I will have you know that this is as much a real game as Pacifist is, if not more. We worked hard to get to this point, and have entered hundreds, if not thousands more actual orders than the pacifists. But my contention is that neither this nor p...

I thought it was funny. Baby didn't know any better. And it hints back to the more mischievous Yoda from the OT.
