Re: Does a broken convoy bounce?

The rule you're looking for is DATC 6.F.4 6.F.4 - TEST CASE, AN ATTACKED CONVOY IS NOT DISRUPTED Basically, unlike supports, convoys are not disrupted if only tapped; they must be dislodged to break the convoy. In short, the adjudication was handled correctly. What happened in your case is that Serb...

But what about the divergence from the historic average? That's really all we care about on matters of climate.

Re: School of War/ Mentor Game

As an aside, one can find a list of (most) all past SoW games: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... Q_9Kg/edit (tinyurl.com/webDip SoW also goes to it.)
They're a great resource to look back through for strategy advice.

Re: The title of this thread does not target anyone

Hmmm.... time for my fifteenth multi, perhaps... The Bones of the Mods are finally revealed, fake people getting banned to show the complete power of the Webdip Mods. I'm adding this to that documentary. Perhaps it is all a sham? Perhaps the whole site is just you, me and darg's multis? Wait, how d...

I'm offended by Jamie's lack of regard for himself. This threat should be locked and removed before it gets even more out of hand.

Re: If you had 100% control over this forum would you silence Flum for spamming?

If I had 100% control over this forum, I would ask why Flum isn't making all of these threads in the Politics forum where one might expect and value spam. I don't think they're matters of government or politics. Those aren't really the questions he's asking. It is a tough call though as many of the...

Can't deal with this weather. The heat is everywhere, no wind, no breeze, no air I can't take it anymore. Someone come and save me. I can't walk outside and can't stay inside. You say 'put the AC on' I say I can't afford those pricey bills There's nothing to love about summer, I hate to sweat, I ha...

Re: 1v1 practice

I used to be decent at 1v1, but I haven't played in months. I probably still have some grasp of strategy, but also will surely mess things up from rust. If you want, some practice games might help us both?

I probably can't commit to more than 2 games at a time, (and would prefer 1) however.

Re: Changed RR, Missed Turns, and Game Create

Thing is, there's just not that many turns in one's rating yet since it came out a month ago. Wait for the full year to pass, and a couple missed turns aren't going to be as weighted. There's also an extra temporary penalty that goes away after a month. Wait a little without missing turns and your R...

Ooh Lusthog! I want to play, but can't play a bunch at once. Can I just join for one? Also, the rule is that you cannot draw unless the game is physically stalemated, right? ( it's been awhile since I've played Lusthog, but that's what I remember?) Player List: 1. Chaqa (3-5 games) 2. MoscowFleet (2...

PlayDiplomacy has this, it's the default if you set the player count to 2 (although I think they changed it so that Italy never joins a side, because otherwise most games were won by a coin toss).
So what you're saying is that vDip should get on adding this?

Even if email notifications are impossible, what about browser or push notifications? I imagine it would still require similar large server resources, but maybe it's more feasible than an expansive email server?

Which ones, just the variants? Some of them didn't seem to make a ton of sense being multi field options.
Variants especially, I think could benefit. Yet, is there any reason not to make all fields with more than 2 (+ all) options to allow multiple concurrent choices?

Is it possible to make the other fields take multiple options, from a future development standpoint.

Squigs, this is amazing! That non-functional search needed replacing. You deserve all the +1s you can get. I have a question, though. 'Messaging Type' has multi-option checkboxes, but the rest are single-option dropdowns. Is there a reason for the difference? Can the rest of the fields also be filte...
