Re: Wikileaks, Assange, and sexual assault

If Assange was born in Russia as Assangeov and uncovered Russian dirty secrets he would be celebrated in the west as a hero and fighter for freedom and liberty. Russia would on the other hand charge him for criminal act and rape. Enemy of my enemy is my friend. That is how it was from the first huma...

Re: May Ghost Ratings Published

Nice to see the list being regular again. :) I was not expecting to be on the lead but I guess MM helped in that regard by falling out of the list. What is very interesting to notice is that I am at the momment #1 on the main list and #2 on the list of only standard press games even though I played ...

Re: The Mediterranean Axis

My first thought is that Med Axis name would more suit France-Italy-Turkey alliance. Austria can become Med power but only in middle/late game when either Italy or Turkey are taken down. France, Italy and Turkey are real med powers. Other than that I am convinced that any alliance in the game can wo...

Re: What are you reading?

Kingkiller chronicle was great read. I finished them very quickly and can't wait to read the last part. Kushiel triology I was recomended to as similar book but I stuck at it. Story doesn't attract me as much. Anyone read Kushiel dart and liked it?

Dante's Inferno, it's for school, but I'm in love with it <3
Most certainly one of the best books ever written. You can read it 1000 times and each time you will discover something new.

Re: Favourite Statistic about yourself &/or other players

My favourite statistical data would be number of messages divided by number of games as it is the most telling piece of info available. If it excluded Gunboats. With little effort it is possible to get the correct value by looking at player's finished games. That was easier to do in the past when t...

Re: War?

Religion being used as an excuse for war does not make it the fault of religion... I hope you make an exception to this theory in the case of Jihad, where war is actually written into the religion as a justified recourse :-D That actually is not true. Most religions know some kind of holy war, and ...

Re: If you are an eastern power, what alliance in the West is best for you?

This question is very interesting. I tried several times to write an answer as I see it but each time it took me several pages and stil I wasn't satisfied with it. That tells a lot about this game. So many variables that needs to be taken into account and stil there would be plenty more that would i...

Re: Negotiating in-game based on our-of-game player scoring

Thank you. That's exactly the question I'm asking. The rules do answer it, but it isn't especially clear, it's hidden in another rule. Metagaming is making decisions based on factors outside of the game in an unfair way. So if someone in your game looked at your profile and decided they hated your ...

Re: The mass exodus

People call it progress. From what I remember webdip had more activity before than it has now. I remember well how live games were popular because I was anoyed by how many people advertised them on the forum while I never liked them much. Loads and loads of them. Today they are rare but I dont think...
