Re: How Do We Feel About Not Even Trying to Win?
What's the difference from moving away the front units to allow a two way draw, to moving away to allow a three or a four way draw? (rethorical question) These things only happen because the points system award smaller draws.

Adjudication question
And a rule question. Does my support to a FOREIGN move, against another of my units, count for the dislodgement of my own unit? Yes I know I cannot dislodge my own unit, but in this case the attack comes from another powe, I just grant him one or two supports, while my targeted unit is cutting behin...

Re: 1v1 France vs Austria Strategy
Basics: Austria has the advantage in the short term only. Considering Austrian is somewhat guatanteed all of urkey, Balkans, Italy, Austria and three Russian dots, summing to sixteen, then A needs two of Stp/ ber /mun /tun in order to win. Austria must conquer all of those 16 and 2 these 4 before F ...

Re: AI bots on webDiplomacy: Skynet edition!
Maybe that's because they play throwing the game and "know" how to behave on such situations - they even do the right supports to do it!, while albert is expecting a more rational play. Its analogous to the known fact that games with less skilled players end with more solos. A single good player can...

Re: AI bots on webDiplomacy: Skynet edition!
You'd definitely have more fun playing against Alberts on the Daide platform. They have true skill, i.e.: they play with real AI and not reproducing stupid human behaviour; they can hold lines and thus they play good endgame situations, including stalemating; they weigh alliances and can see instant...

It makes no difference, Meme, since only 2 games ended in draw and these don't affect the standings inside each group.

Last fva game Oct 2018, Showdown Round 12 Set 158 Game 3. My ratings used to be above 300, or does it count as zero (for not belonging to the 12 month range)?

Re: Introducing the first ever webDiplomacy Terminator Tournament!
Three solos on the trigger (FIT). Without replay. Just have to ready them three. But damn. Only now I realize I didn't name the games as requested. I just read the *public* rules, was so eager to play that created game without reading the PM carefully. I will not replay... please consider, Bo?

@Ziran
Maybe E picking T forces E to an anti-F game, favouring an AI gang up on T. And also forces a Strong ER relationship, at least for a while. But I concur, as the other's archirival picks may make english mission impossible.

Extending ia better than pausing, because youdont need to unpause , but it faces the same problem: will all the players press the button on time?

This is a necessary "feature". I and others who once belonged to the Judge pbem community ser the 72/24/24 deadline scheme as natural... It was not complicated for the newbies of the 90's, and there were thousands of them back then as well.

A new taste to the 1v1 scene, or two
A simple feature, and a map: --> The [concede] button! (side by side the draw one, as it exists in vdip) I understand the developers not making it a webdip feature, but, why not allowing it for unrated games? As all 1v1 games are unrated, voilà ! --> The Civil War map! (https://vdiplomacy.net/varian...
