1177 - Really easy to confuse with 1111, 1117, 1171 etc, especially when handwritten.

That's why I always used the french style of crossed sevens!

Re: How to break a stalemate line

Just an observation but - by definition - if it was a true stalmate position then nothing you could have done would have broken it.

However, I have no idea how efficient the bots are at coordinating and maintaining a stalemate line.

Re: Criticism of the Lepanto

France is effectively a no-go as it is impossibe to independently sustain the attack. Likewise, it is not possible in th...

Re: Worldwide decline in Diplomacy game

For what it's worth, I agree. The hobby is not in decline. The pandemic and associated lockdowns have creataed a space for more people to play and to create. Re: Activity of Eliminated Players

This has been on my mind recently too. I think that it adds an extra (and valuable) element to the game to have Governments in Exile. Anything that encourages players to communicate has to be a good thing, given how often the level of correspondence ina game decliens over time. The active participan...

Re: Do Roman records prove Jesus' existence was a hoax?

No. Moving on... True. At least if you consider the phrasing of the threadtitle. There is no hint of that whatsoever. To my knowledge there is also no ancient source questioning Jesus´existence. I think that aspect came up in the debate. You have to consider the phrasing of the thread title. If you...
