Re: Lord of the Rings RPG
I agree with that, start smaller, check that it all works, expand later. Thank you. that was one of the main problems with the first game, way too many people...

Re: Lord of the Rings RPG
it's all done asymmetrically; in that you are never required to be online at any particular time of day, as long as you check in frequently to respond to things.

Re: Lord of the Rings RPG
Each regular player would control a capitol city and probably two smaller towns, with ten characters that could lead armies or go on other missions, such as exploring, or whatever. You'd probably have a military size of about 10 units or so, but they generally would not go in 10 different directions...

Re: Lord of the Rings RPG
Me again, GM from this game. I have a proposal. I had a variety of issues running this game. First is that it is a LOT of work for me, the second is I had too many players and some nations had multiple players, which was good and bad, but made it more work, the third is that some of those players we...

Re: Lord of the Rings RPG
I am the creator and the gamemaster for this game. I could try to run it again, but I need to rework some things to simplify the workload for me, it literally took like 8 hours a day for me to run it. It is an amazing game, for me as well, to watch, but I need to seriously look at how to manage the ...

Re: Bots co-operating in gunboat
The Bots are awful. They do not even understand the objectives of the game. They have no concept of stalemate lines, stooping solos, even recognizing solos, or the consequences of their actions. The best solution for avoiding frustration with bots is to not play with bots.

Re: Civil Disorder Take-overs
we really need to PUNISH quitters. It's become an epidemic. People routinely quit just before they actually lose. I see this in every game. CDs should count as a loss on your ghost rating, cost you TWICE your bet, anything to pummel quitters. Alternatively, we could reward people sticking it out to ...

Re: the ultimate solo
I had a lot of help by a lot of people, mostly inadvertently, but that's the way it always is with any solo, with correct play, no one would ever solo.

Re: please help me understand how these orders were resolved
off topic a bit, but the best way to win as turkey from the powerful position you were in in about 1905 is to bypass the Italian SC. Always go full bore for the one spot that will give you the game as turkey => MAO. Because then you get Iberia, and you can clean out the boot of Italy later. This wou...

Re: Study on artificial intelligence and decision making
Who controls the real AI Dip players? Diplodocus and the others that can actually play? Why don't you ask them to participate? I mean, not to throw shade on anyone, but the regular normal bots here are so very, very awful... They poach SC when I am trying to stop a solo, they are so very, very easy ...

Re: Study on artificial intelligence and decision making
I would love to do this, but against real AIs, that actually know how to play please, like recognize and stop solos, see stalemate lines, etc. The Regular bots on this sight are awful, I would like to play against diplodocus type bots, strong Ais, that are actually good players.

Re: What makes your life worth living?
Actually there is scientific research on this exact topic. University studies on happiness, there is even a happiness institute in Denmark that studies it. Studies have attempted to correlate happiness with various things such as Fame, Career, Money, Success, etc. etc. None of these things correlate...
