Re: Spring 2018 Champions League

If we can give a special prize, I'd like to propose we give this to Roganjosh for his Hol H in Spring '05 (in this game), which trapped the Austrian army in Kiel. I think that this gave him the victory !

A champion's move ! :zultar:

Re: Spring 2018 Champions League

Yeah ! That would be a real championship if the games could be played with 5 minutes deadline. :-)

A good start should be to require players ready up !

Re: The Elephant In My Room

Whether Mike's behaviour was commendable or worthy of scorn I really couldn't care less about, and I doubt he gives a damn whatever I think (...) :? But I haven't done nor written absolutely anything... He keeps making up stories to justify his behaviour and to give these some sort of credit. Where...

Re: The Elephant In My Room

First of all, nobody else is allowed to be PW. I already get myself confused with the abbreviation for "password." Second of all, maybe Marx and Mike should just mute each other and move on? Marx at least is supposed to be defending a world cup title or something. I have already muted this guy for ...

Re: The Elephant In My Room

It is incredible... Mark, you are just a manipulator and I tell you franckly : you have a very deep psychological problem. I'd like to see the text I would have published on which you could base that "my opponent was not respectful to me about the situation, did not politely acknowledge the situatio...

Re: Reliability Ratings

A few words about the 1v1 case : I have been playing a lot of /live/ 1v1 games. First point : it is really frustrating to see players just dropping the game, often without even leaving a message to inform you. I don't create them any more without requiring an RR of 85-90 %. But this does not prevent...

Re: Expanding universe

Hi Octavious, Yes. Sorry but I don't get your point... However complex, with basic mathematics, the Babylonians and Egyptians were predicting when moon eclipses or floods of the Nil would occur. I have done nothing more. If we know at what speed two objects go towards each other, it is not hard to c...

Re: Expanding universe

The second part of your question is "how can this happen that fast" ? After the big bang, matter started to gather with gravitional force, creating stars and galaxies and also giving impulsions/speed to this matter. Why could not this influence movements so that such "big masses" as galaxies tend to...

Re: Expanding universe

Andromeda is approaching us at a speed of 110 km/s ie 0.00037 Light.Year / year. It is at about 2,500,000 Light.Years from the center of the Milky Way. 2,500,000 / 0.00036 = 7.5 billions of years so that both centers coincide. They will collide sooner. See Andromeda-Milky Way collision . There is al...

Re: Expanding universe

I think there is a prediction that the Andromeda Galaxy will start to collide with the Milky Way Galaxy in a few billion years time In 4 billons of years and the process should take around 3 other billions of years to be completed. [ Note it is not expected to be a "destructive" collide but just a ...

Andromeda is known to be full of racists.
Is that why it is the only galaxy moving towards us?

Re: Expanding universe

Would not the shit towards the red caused by good old-fashioned velocity look indistinguishable to the shift to red caused by cosmic expansion? Yes. It is not distinguishable from red shift due to movement. But The Red Shift occurs in absolutely any direction that you look at, is even faster than t...

Re: A new taste to the 1v1 scene, or two

good observations ! also, convoys can add complications too. a few that i have used: NATO convoys: Brazil (i personally don't go for this convoy, but it can be effective), Siberia/Urals USSR convoys: Africa (from Albania), Philippines Agreed. I am a little bit disappointed by the Cold War map. I ha...

Re: A new taste to the 1v1 scene, or two

Cold War is a far far better variant than 1v1 FotAE. I just discover it but I have the feeling NATO is favored... The map gives a feeling of symetry but that's not the case * Tk and Alb have both border Gre and it is a key territory * But UK can go to Nwg Sea and threatens StPet/Leningrad -> Russia...
