Re: AI bots on webDiplomacy: Skynet edition!

Are we still allowed to allude to AI bot players with descriptive terminology such as Dalek(s) &/or Terminators in the Forum with more Decorum or is that considered offensive to their species ? .. Gosh, I hope I don't get more trouble for using those words.

Re: AI bots on webDiplomacy: Skynet edition!

Congratulations to all persons who contributed to this bold endeavour. Naturally I find some of this AI boots caper incomprehensible yet exciting stuff nonetheless. The collaboration with a University is excellent to read of, this project l hope has given some of the University's ambitious young whi...

Re: Share your talents! (We all deserve a little bit of publicity)

Hoorah for our Artists. I had never tried to draw or paint artistically until recently. I have done quite a lot of technical drawings previously. Recently my local Council organised a day event for novice & amatuer artists under the supervision of a proper Artist. I saw the advertisement in the loca...

Re: Ashes Test Cricket

Been Stokes hits a four to win the game. Stokes 135 not out & he would surely be "man of the match". England right back into the battle for the Ashes, the series now one win to each side. Australia made some mistakes in the final overs. Wasted a review on a Leash lbw off Cummins not out decision, th...

Re: Ashes Test Cricket

Stokes is batting brilliantly, now on 115 and only 18 runs needed for England to win. Given Stokes bowling performance in the Australian second innings, he is staking a strong claim on "man of the match"

Lyon strikes back, Archer had another "big swing at the ball" & has been caught in the outfield. 73 runs required for England to win. Two wickets needed by Australia

Re: Ashes Test Cricket

This is an excellent Test match. England had a good first session today and moved to within about 100 or 120 runs of winning & only losing one wicket, so at the lunch break were much closer to a win. A few quick wickets and the balance changed to England at 7 for 260 odd needing 88 runs to win. As I...

Re: ISP Inserts Ad On Top Of Webdip Website

I thought that the type of advertising received on this new fangled internet thingy is based on a users activities on this internet thingy. So if you are receiving advertising for Russian slappers... Whereas I receive advertising for incontinence kit for the elderly & funeral insurance.

Re: Ashes Test Cricket

It's not impossible for England to win, they need about 200 runs more to win, they have 7 wickets in hand & plenty of time.

Re: Ashes Test Cricket

Chasing 350 odd runs to win England did well to get to 3 for 156 runs on day three? Most importantly, they batted out most of the day, 70 odd overs and only lost three wickets. Can the English batsmen survive another day & a "new ball" ? Australia are in a match winning position, but have to take wi...

Re: Ashes Test Cricket

The English bowlers performed admirably. Australia made 179 runs in their first innings. I thought that England could get into a match winning position with a good batting effort. However Australia's bowlers have put in an even more impressive effort and dismissed England for only 67 runs and Austra...

Headingly & 3rd Test match. Australia without Steve Smith batting on day one.. plodding along at 5 for 146 Warner got 60 odd, Labuschagne on 51, but at least four failures in the top order including two ducks.

2nd Test match, day five Stokes has just hit a nice four to go to 91 runs & England 215 for five wickets & lead of 223 runs & commentators are starting to speculate about a Declaration by England.
