Re: Independence Movements

US citizens from US colonies like Samoa also have trouble being recognized when they move or visit the US since they are usually considered nationals but not citizens.

Re: Is Trump in Criminal Violation of War Profiteering Act?

This was upgraded from only being a civil offense to criminal back in the 1970s. Since Trump is conducting business as Commander in Chief with war planning and execution at his resorts, this moves from vacation expenses to being war related.

Is Trump in Criminal Violation of War Profiteering Act?

https://www.yahoo.com/huffpost/trump-golf-mar-a-lago-taxpayers-001531310.html Who really knows because the Treasury Department has failed since Trump started for 3 years to give required information on expenses. Trump may be gouging the US while claiming we are still at war to pursue his Mid East ag...

Re: Eating Snow

Since 2017 the EPA in the US has ended all regulations that preserved the purity of snow allowing for many chemicals to be added to it lowering the quality. Having too much of it can be hazardous to your health plus melting it in your mouth and stomach uses up body heat that can cause hypothermia an...

Re: Trump blowing up sacred Native American burial sites

Arizona is fairly racist about sacred Indian sites and has a long history of invading them for commercial purposes. If it isn't an acceptable white religious site, it doesn't count.

Re: Trump blowing up sacred Native American burial sites

As I pointed out in Trump's Wall, he went after Catholic chapel too, but hasn't bulldozed it, yet. For a party that pushes Religious Freedom, it only applies for their version of the correct religion. https://www.npr.org/2019/02/10/693115073/the-historic-chapel-at-the-heart-of-a-legal-fight-over-the...

Re: Ireland votes & turns left

People will vote for a change in leadership no matter if the new leaders will cause them more problems. Trump was elected in the US and he still has strong support from farmers going into bankruptcies over his Trade Wars.

Re: Porn is Evil

Thanks Flum for responding. Don't adults have the right to engage in consensual acts with minimal interference from State and Church ? In a secular nation state religious groups have no right to impose their moral or religious strictures on those who choose not to join their group. I think one of t...

Re: That Impeachment Thread

Trump got off with he committed a crime, but the Republicans aren't going to punish him because: 1 - Trump learned his lesson. ROFL 2 - It wasn't that serious because only Ukrainians got killed because of it. 3 - Republicans are hypocrites who would have lynch a Democrat for less, because they tried...

What is it the Senate's actually meant to do again? One Republican senator claimed he was being held hostage for having to show up at the high paying job he fought to be elected to doing. Something he swore two oaths to do. I guess it cut down on his recreational time since he wasn't Trump. https:/...

There was something about face masks not being useful this time, but I didn't read it. However I live about 100 miles from a confirmed case in the US at a large state university.

Re: Trump decides war with Iran?

Trump has repeatedly played up his concern for US troops compared to Obama. However the truth is that Trump doesn't care about our troops and mocks them all the time. This is one more example of how little Trump cares about them. Just like not taking the time to be there when dead servicemen bodies ...

Re: That Impeachment Thread

Trump has the votes just because too many Republican senators fear his supporters. This may backfire at the election as more evidence comes out and if it doesn't appear during the hearing. Trump is going with what worked for him in the past. Stonewall evidence and witnesses to prevent charges. Attac...
