Re: Is it better to be stupid, or ignorant?

Trump went with both, because when you are rich it doesn't matter. People will make excuses for you to gain access to your money. :)

Re: The USA's trade deficits

You aren't going to see the US improve when the swamp is running everything for their own gain. The Trump family made its some what legitimate fortune from using cheap foreign goods from Chinese steel and shoddy law breaking clothing to hiring illegal migrants. Trump admitted in the debates that we ...

Re: The USA's trade deficits

THe old thing about cutting waste and fraud would cut unnecessary spending and increase revenue, but Congress has cut the IRS budget to go after tax fraud and audit the richest taxpayers. They also require government payments to be done quickly even when their is suspected fraud for say Medicare pay...

Re: The USA's trade deficits

Eliminating the US debt would take a few decades of annual surplus budgets which is no longer realistic. However we could go back to the older view of running up surpluses during booming economic times to reduce the debt and only have deficits during recessions to help the economy recover quicker. T...

Re: The USA's trade deficits

Years of buying cheaper made goods from other countries has left us in permanent annual trade deficits. We sent the manufacturing and supplies overseas so some industries can't even make things here at comparable prices. As a friend complained, sure his company has two suppliers for needed parts, bu...

Re: Time zones in America

It's a parasite living off the host. Would you defend a tapeworm's right to exist? Would you let the government decide it could harvest your organs to save other people's lives? How much would you let the government decide to do with your body without your consent. After all it would be against the ...

From what I've seen in the news the password hack failed, but just attempting is illegal. There are supposed to be emails discussing the hack and its failure which acts as proof of intent and that there was an attempt.

Re: Wikileaks, Assange, and sexual assault

There is a long history of cases where publishing secrets isn't always punished going back to the Nixon years and the Ellsberg Pentagon papers. It depends upon the publisher and whether it can be considered a matter of national security like the names and locations of spies (which is punishable). ht...

Assange is getting indicted in the US not just for publishing the leaks, but providing password breaking help on a secured restricted US computer system to get files. He went from semi-legal publisher to helping to steal secrets.

Re: Multiculturalism Ruins Nations

Anti-semitism is on the rise in civilized Great Britain and France with support from political parties. Gee, I wonder if this has anything to do with a large quantity of immigration from the most anti-Semitic region of the world. I would struggle to believe that the sons and grandsons of the genera...

Re: Can Corey Booker beat Trump in an election?

You need a candidate that can keep reminding Trump voters how much Trump's policies have screwed them over while Trump profited from them. Trump has voters that will support him no matter what he does, but they aren't enough to win states. Farmers that lost foreign market sales due to the tariff war...
