I'm planning to run the Fall Champion's League this year as well (probably in about a month), so keep an eye out for that if you're interested!
I know that IvG is not as fun as FvA, but maybe do IvG in the fall and FvA in the spring? Or alternating years...

I think that 6.E.12 in DATC is what you're asking about. But all the 6.E cases are interesting!

I though Germany opening to Tyrolia was anti-French, no? The natural continuation being Piedmont.

Re: Scoring systems - proportional to supply centres

(There remains a mystery - what possesses the inventor of any scoring system to award points to players who lose through elimination or solo?) It's the need to separate players on the aggregate in a tournament setting. These small amounts of points distributed to losers are basically tiebreakers. A...

Re: Scoring systems - proportional to supply centres

One has to question whether tribute actually gives a balance of power incentive. Sure, picking a center the board leader give 2 points, and picking center of anyone else gives 1 point. But cutting down the draw gives 1.6 / 2.2 / 3.3 / 5.5 / 11 points, depending on draw size (the smaller draw the mor...

Re: Rules Resolution Question

The original board game rules, german version page 8 says (translated): A move order, which is directed into a territory from which the moving unit is successfully attacked, is changed into a hold order. Is that a correct translation? That the order is 'changed into a hold order'? If it is correct,...

You didn't order to Black Sea, so I'm not sure it's really accurate to say that you 'lost' in the Black Sea.

Re: Spring 2020 1v1 Champions League

If it is another 3 or 4 way tie, advancements will be decided by coin flip For future iteration of this (and other) tournaments, we should not use coin flips, but we should use one round of odd vs. even: TD decides that player A wins if odd and player B wins if even. After that, both players submit...

Squigs is not "claiming" that this is a paradox. He is only pointing out that this is classified as a paradox in DATC. You should probably read the whole thing, before you comment any further. Because, at the moment, you mainly come across as ill-informed. http://web.inter.nl.net/users/L.B.Kruijswij...

Re: A rant about Reliability Rating

Maybe you should spend this time submitting orders to those two "Beginners Only" games you are playing, instead of ranting on the forum. You know that you can submit preliminary orders, right? Btw, every time you fail to submit orders, you ruin the game for the other six players. I think you should ...

Re: Advanced Maneuvers

Edit: Maybe 'advanced' level is to dislodge your ally's unit, so that your ally gets to choose retreat option after your enemy revealed their orders.
