I think he at one point stated that GW Bush was a better president than Obama-and Clinton both

He also thinks Churchill was the right kind of republican despite the fact Churchill helped create NHS

No difference between stalinism and socialism.
So, just to keep up, ND's position is as follows:

- There is no difference between Stalinism and socialism, but there *is* a difference between the current Democrats and Stalinism - because the Democrats are "worse" than Communists.

- George Orwell was a Stalinist.

- George Orwell would support the Republicans.

Clearly therefore ND's position must be that the Republican Party is a Stalinist party, and is therefore better than the Democrats, who are not Stalinists.

ND is a Stalinist.

Sad!

ND is pretty much the poster child for everything wrong with political debate in the US. Your opponents can't be just wrong anymore, they must be evil.

ND really bought whole hog into the anti intellectual conservative stereotype huh

Stalinism is distinguished from forms of Communist ideology which draw from Marx, Engels, and (usually) Lenin but not from Stalin, such as Trotskyism. Trotskyists are generally anti-Stalinists.

Some critics declare Stalinism a caricature of communism and consider it to deviate far from its original intent. Stalinism is really more of a form of government rather than an ideology.

Orwell’s at length discussion of the conditions of the proles in 1984 was the sort of thing you’d expect a socialist to take the time to write. It is also one of the least remembered aspects of the book, rightfully so because it was also the weakest.

Animal Farm is about Stalinism. George Orwell was a socialist. It's so sad the way these Trumpist cultists attempt to rewrite history to suit them.

Re: Trump Vindicated

You're absolutely wrong, though.

Re: Trump Vindicated

by ND » Wed Sep 05, 2018 2:20 am

Animal Farm and 1984 are about Marxists and Big Government Communism, "you idiot." And, yes the Democratic Party are worse then the Communist Party and probably responsible for more dead people (innocent babies).

Re: Trump Vindicated

by Jamiet99uk » Tue Sep 04, 2018 11:02 pm

And the merits of your absurd claims about George Orwell absolutely have been debated, and your claim demonstrated to be nonsense.

Re: Trump Vindicated

by Jamiet99uk » Tue Sep 04, 2018 11:01 pm

It's impossible to have a sensible debate about whether the Democratic party are a bunch of communists because it's such an absurd proposition.

Speaking as a Marxist, I can tell you, they're not fucking Marxists, you idiot.

Re: Trump Vindicated

This is pretty amusing. No one can debate the merits so they just try to ridicule when there is nothing to ridicule. haha

I love how ND gets upset about being called a "nutjob" and cries about it, yet anyone who doesn't agree with him is branded a "cultist".

You're a joke, ND.

If it wasn't for Trump's election we would be crushed by the computers. Wait the computers know we've seen this. Our new overlords will come after those of us that know. Time to go off grid.

Oh Orwell would definitely be a trump supporter. Animal farm is about your buddies the Soviet Union. He worked all his life to defeat communism. You think he would support the modern Democrats. That's straight up nuts.
LOL. You know literally nothing about Orwell. He literally fought in the Spanish Civil War for socialist groups. He didn't hate communism, he hated Stalin and Stalinism.
And as a bonus, he was also a journalist for a lot of his career...so Trump's "the press is the enemy of the people" probably would not have gone down well with him either.
