What are "Notes" for?

I only usually use Notes to remind myself that Claesar used to put things in notes, but doesn't anymore.

If I take over a CD, I put in an Note regarding what point in the game I took it over. This also makes it fairly easy to see which games I started and which I took over. ( you would think I'd remember but often I don't)

Notes: Only you see this.
You can use these for anything, such as reminding yourself of things and starting your End of Game speech. I never use the Notes though..

So far as I'm aware, you can only see your own notes.

I'm not sure but I suspect that notes exists to make the coding simpler .

I have used it in to record my DMZs/agreement deadlines - but I don't tend to use it now.

How is the Notes tab different from the Global chat? I've never used the Notes one...
