Since this morning, I have remembered you many times, Octavious, seeing on the news the various acts all around the country!

It's that time of year again when the mummers crawl out of the woodwork.

If anything I hate them more.

Oh that blighter playing Freddy also sang flat.

I emphasise, I'm still trying to forget the poor performance of the actor playing Freddy in a local amateur production of My Fair Lady, he sang flat and then ruined one scene of the Ascot races scenes with a premature utterance of his line normally spoken at the end of the particular scene.

Recently it's the State Government department of primary industries, transport and planning DPTI, who enjoy my disdain for their incompetence with road repairs and construction & silly work zone speed limits in no work for months zone & no difference in hazards/risk from when road was 100km/hr speed limit, but it's marked 40km/hr until after those signs knocked over by frustrated locals then 60km/hr signs put up/knocked down/put up again.. duh.. the reduction to 80km/hr is more than adequate imho.

Ugh... I was hoping they would die out but it seems that there are more of them than I ever imagined!

God, but I hate mummers. You're trying to drink a quiet pint of ale by the fire when the atmosphere is trashed by a bunch of lunatics in ribbons and masks hamming it up with the most amateur dramatics ever seen, singing awful songs, and butting people with comedy horns. You've been doing the same bloody play for a thousand years... Learn the goddamned lines!

And relax....
