Spring, 1901: Enjoy the game, everyone. And good luck.
Spring, 1901: Incidentally, DaDude and I do know each other. Even though it does not affect the way either of us plays this game, I decided to mention it because of the comment on his profile: "Chalks sucks". sheesh. |
|
Spring, 1901: He does suck btw. Just give him 2 dollars.
Spring, 1902: GameMaster: Andrew102 has taken over Russia.
Spring, 1902: Lol, did our afk Russia just get replaced with another? Lmao.
Spring, 1902: <russian accent>In Soviet Russia....(insert your joke here)</russian accent>
Spring, 1902: What would Andrew take over russia and then turn around and go CD?
Spring, 1902: That's irritating...
Autumn, 1902: Does everybody in this game know each other?
Autumn, 1902: I don't know anybody...but we are all getting along famously! (well, Russia and I might have some fighting words real quick, but other than that...)
Autumn, 1902: @England: Nope, that's actually the 2nd game I started after discovering this website. Don't know a single player here ^^
Autumn, 1902: The Turkish Regime has shown it aggression toward the Austrian Empire. Beforehand, they refused to communicate with us, and we prepared for the worst. Our intelligence network gathered data of their imminent attack on Rumania and Greece just in time for us to meet them will greater force. To the world we say, we are not a hostile people, but we will not tolerate aggression towards our people. It appears Russia has allied with the Turks as well, so we have solidified our resolve...
Autumn, 1902: Lol, more like went afk. If he allied he would've retreated units at least.
Autumn, 1902: Wow, I could've taken Brest but fudged my moves... *facepalm*
Autumn, 1902: GameMaster: murs30000 has taken over Russia.
Autumn, 1903: So was the bigger jerk? The first Russia who didn't enter orders and went into CD? Or the second Russia who didn't enter orders and went into CD? At least we don't have to worry about that anymore.
Autumn, 1903: I kind of liked them both. ;)
Autumn, 1903: So did Austria, apparently. Best of luck with that.
Autumn, 1903: I just borrowed Russia to get to Armenia...Hello, you Turkey!
Autumn, 1904: This is funny really - horrible first year but a two country alliance can't squeeze me out. Lulz.
Autumn, 1904: Was just looking at the map. You might want to think about being careful about that Ionian Sea. You moved your Fleet out to the Tyr, I'm assuming to go for the West Med and then Spain. Just be careful of Austria. If he gets in there, he's bordering 2 of your SCs.
Autumn, 1904: I wonder if that was supposed to be global or not...
Autumn, 1904: That's my mistake. Apologies to all.
Autumn, 1904: GameMaster: belas has taken over Turkey.
Autumn, 1904: poor timing, belas...
Spring, 1905: D FENCE! D FENCE! D FENCE! *dances in Brest*
Autumn, 1905: GameMaster: Viking has taken over Turkey.
Autumn, 1905: I feel bad for you Viking...
Autumn, 1905: In these perilous times of war, paranoia controls the weakest of minds. Sadly, we see that the Keiser is indeed the weakest of minds...
Autumn, 1905: Indeed. It is clear that I didn't outhink you at all.
Autumn, 1905: Kaiser* But actually I'd like to nominate the General Secretary for that. Total veggie he was this game, what with the whole not moving anywhere and all. It has also been said though, that only the weak are cruel, and that, sequentially, gentleness can only be expected from the strong. Yet here the Emperor-King of the Dual Monarchy renounces those controlled by fear with no bit of forgiveness or gentleness. Is he then, still strong of mind? Or the weakest of all when he crushes the ant that bit him while he stood next to his nest? |
|
Spring, 1906: Damn ant...
Spring, 1906: Lol. | |
Spring, 1907: Dear Germany, We have decided to make things easier on you. We are shipping 10,000 copies of "Hungarian for Dummies" to Berlin so you can brush up on your new national language. We felt the title appropriate and just HAD to get it for you. Jön vissza megharapni... |
|
Autumn, 1907: I would like to point out to the global community a menace that threatens your livelihood. There is a certain despot that does not understand what reason is. Nor does he understand what rational diplomacy entails. Sadly, this laughable king thinks he was scorned by a friend, and because he can't see past his nose, he got burnt. I do not think that any of us want such a man to rule the world. Why enable his feeble rage? As a friendly and reasonable man, I think everyone understands my position (save the said despot). Perhaps it is time to set aside certain squabbles and allow the Austrian to see what comes of his childishness. |
|
Autumn, 1907: Well, at least Austria isn't a meta-gamer, neh?
Autumn, 1907: Is Germany a meta-gamer?
Autumn, 1907: No. France was under the impression at the beginning of the game that I had pre-arranged an alliance with him. That was not the case, he misunderstood me. That's why he was so shocked when I stabbed him early on in the game.
Autumn, 1907: That's not what this is about. Ugh you can be so thick sometimes. Just go back to sucking England's willie and end the pointless back-and-forth will you?
Autumn, 1907: whoops, missed orders. Too bad, I think I could have stopped you, Jim. I have something more to say, give me a couple minutes to type it up.
Autumn, 1907: I like the game Diplomacy quite a bit, and the fight against you four in particular. However, in "real life", I'm honestly a very nice guy, and I feel that at least two of you have hated me for a good portion of the game, and that saddens me. I'd like to explain how and why I've made the moves I've made, and hopefully DaDude and Jim will be a little less annoyed: This game is all about winning. So, I generally expect everyone to be looking out for their own interests the entire game. The more you play the game, the more often you see stabs. From my perspective, it really looks like both France and Austria really, really flipped out when I stabbed you. DaDude, my stab of you WAS my best move. Jim, my stab of you could have been easily avoided if you had taken just one minute to understand my position. I don't know if either of you noticed, but England and I stabbed each other several times. However, we both understood _why_ it happened. As a result, we were able to finally work together. It would have led to a win too, if I hadn't made a FOOLISH mistake this turn (I had to drive my sister somewhere, and I forgot to put in orders before I left). Anyways, I had fun. Jim, I'm glad you will win. I enjoyed our alliance while it lasted, and I think that we could have worked together. Dadude, I stayed allied with England because he didn't send curse laden messages to me. England: You're a champ, thanks for working with me. All in all, I would love to play again with any of you. I hope you all enjoyed the game as much as I did. |
|
Autumn, 1907: Thanks for the kind words. You stay classy, Chalks. See you in the next game.
Autumn, 1907: No funny business from me in the last turn re: Denmark if I can trust you to do the same with Hol as well. If you want to move F(Swe) to Den as insurance, and support to hold Kiel, that's the right thing to do. I understand. I'm going to hold the line and Bel and try to take Por and Bre.
Autumn, 1907: ... lol, I think you might have intended to send that privately. ;)
Autumn, 1907: Whoops oh well. At least he can't stop me from taking Portugal.
Spring, 1908: For sure this was a fun game. Freaking out is just part of the play style in some games. I like to role play so in this case I felt that a/h would have acted that way. Good game! (I could've still yaken without your miss though! You just made it too easy). :)
Question for the group: Anybody remember who was the Turkey player before "Viking" took it over? Or the one before that?
oh man, I have no idea. Maybe ask on the forum? an admin might be able to check.
I only ask because "Viking" is kind of an odd case. He only played one game. Created an account and then disappeared. It's a little suspicious is all. I was wondering if the Turkey before that was the same way. I wanted to look him up too. |
