Thanks for bearing with us through a couple of migration issues. Time has been added to all games so that we can be sure no user missed a turn during the transition, but otherwise processing should be returning to normal.

08 Apr 09 UTC Autumn, 1915: I'm not sure what you mean.
Obviously each of us could win more centers, possibly enough for a solo win. On the other hand, it's mostly a one-sided game, with England the dominant player; the only plausible scenario out of the current deadlock would be for one of the other players to break their alliance. But that is almost suicide, giving England the opportunity to win solo. So at this point there's not much Diplomacy happening on the board; it's just a deadlock with no interesting (i.e. fun, unexpected, worth playing) way out.
08 Apr 09 UTC Autumn, 1915: So let's just end it here and move on to more interesting games.
08 Apr 09 UTC Autumn, 1915: I'm willing to help you into France... It's not like I can take Marseilles after you take it. Turkey could move into Spain and you could replace at WMed and I wouldn't be able to do any more damage. Think about it. France could be eliminated without me threatening a solo.
08 Apr 09 UTC Autumn, 1915: And what would be gained by that? A similar static position from which to draw?
09 Apr 09 UTC Autumn, 1915: Yes, but with a larger slice of the pie for the rest of us...
09 Apr 09 UTC Autumn, 1915: So you want a few extra points, is that it? I'd rather walk away at this point, except for, it would be really rude towards the other players.
09 Apr 09 UTC Autumn, 1915: Wow, I really didn't mean it like that... I don't generally play for points, if you'll notice I really just play low staked games, leagues, tournaments, and invitationals like this one...

I just consider a three-way draw a stronger outcome than a four-way draw... I'm not sure why you're so offended by this concept. I would be arguing for the same thing in a face to face game. I'm playing the game, figle knows that. I wouldn't hold it against him if he did the same thing to me.
09 Apr 09 UTC Autumn, 1915: I'm not offended; I just don't see the point in continuing the game. What does any of us have to gain?
09 Apr 09 UTC A nicer looking map :)
09 Apr 09 UTC Uh, a stronger finish? Otherwise, we could have had a seven way draw.
