03 May 12 UTC Autumn, 1913: MAO-ENG has been ordered
03 May 12 UTC Autumn, 1913: Sorry, am I entering all holds?
03 May 12 UTC Autumn, 1913: Entered my orders.
03 May 12 UTC Autumn, 1913: All holds entered.
03 May 12 UTC Autumn, 1913: if you don't see a unit that is in your possession moving, then yes, it's a hold :)
03 May 12 UTC Autumn, 1913: I assumed. Thanks for your patience with me.
03 May 12 UTC Autumn, 1913: HA! yeah right! thanks for joining the game and trying something awesome!

Germany, scroll up to see your order.
04 May 12 UTC Spring, 1914: So, uh, Draug just quit the site again. You guys want to keep hitting "save" holds until he returns? Someone else want to figure out this puzzle? Just draw?
04 May 12 UTC Spring, 1914: Whatever. It's only holding up 5 of my points. What are we trying to do?
04 May 12 UTC Spring, 1914: Get down to two (or one?) armies landlocked in NAf and Tunis. Of course, it will have to be Austrian and English armies, but it's doable. The final year consists of changing Tunis ownership, convoying the last English army to Tunis, fleet disband. The intervening time is spent destroying lots of stuff. In a complicated way. Because we /also/ have to preserve the map. =P
04 May 12 UTC Spring, 1914: I'll look at it and see what I can do after school today.

Meanwhile, link to the thread where druag quit for some humour?
04 May 12 UTC Spring, 1914: He quit in a game, global tab. http://webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=84566
04 May 12 UTC Spring, 1914: i am trying to get him back.
06 May 12 UTC Spring, 1914: draug::

Gal-Rum
Mun-Kie
Boh-Mun
Vie-Tri (Tri-Ven in the fall)
Pru-Bal (we need to get a turkish center in russian territory)
NAO-MAO (we need to get War all the way around so it can get into Vie)
GoL-Spa

The War to Vie goal is to keep England from having two Russian centers. In tha fall, Swe-Liv, Liv-War, and War-Pru will along with Current Gal-Rum going on in to Sev, Nwy-Fin, and Bar-Stp will get seven nations in Russia, no duplicates while Den-Nwy prevents Russia having Nwy and Fin for borders.
06 May 12 UTC Spring, 1914: Great work, SG. Glad Draug is maintaining his interest in the puzzle! Send him my personal thanks when you correspond next.
06 May 12 UTC Spring, 1914: Okay, just a double check, I need to move Munich to Kiel and Vienna to Trieste?
06 May 12 UTC Spring, 1914: i think so lol
07 May 12 UTC Autumn, 1914: orders for this turn?
07 May 12 UTC Autumn, 1914: I will be sure to post them once draug sends me a message. :)
07 May 12 UTC Autumn, 1914: guys...a good number of you missed your orders. move back to the previous positions and we are going to try this again.

08 May 12 UTC Spring, 1915: I suppose it's all holds for me now, no?
08 May 12 UTC Spring, 1915: These are the moves....

IF YOUR UNIT IS ONE OF THESE, MOVE IT!
09 May 12 UTC Spring, 1915: Looking at it closely I am 100% convinced that this goal is impossible.

How is the last fleet going to be disbanded?

If we get it down to 1 fleet and 2 armies, there are 3 units, but 34 supply centers.

So if England has 5 supply centers and 2 units, loosing a supply center wont cause a disband.

Its physically impossible to get that last disband without eliminating one of the 7 powers.
09 May 12 UTC Spring, 1915: That being said, if those last 2 units were in England or Scandinavia, the fleet could move to a coastal territory and disband in the following retreat phase.

However the last location needs to have at least 3 joint land units for this to work.
09 May 12 UTC Spring, 1915: Damn. Fasces is right. I'll settle for a fleet and army as the last units then.
10 May 12 UTC Spring, 1915: Hang on, I think it might be doable if we redraw the map slightly.
10 May 12 UTC Spring, 1915: Oh, no, wait, I misread.
10 May 12 UTC Spring, 1915: I have figured out a way to do a similar thing.

Instead of 2 armies in Africa, could I interest anyone in 6 armies in England?

However, for it to work, one of those 6 armies would have to be English so we may need to redraw the game a little.

I think switching Edi and Por would be the best solution.
10 May 12 UTC Spring, 1915: The premise to makes it possible is that after convoying the French, italian, Austria, Turkish and Russian army into England, The English fleet would then move into Edi in a fall move.

In the Spring move, York would move to Edi supported by Clyde that Spring. Edi would move back to York in the fall, giving England 1 build (edi being a home center controlled by England), in which he could build an army.

Then viola, 6 armies in England with no other units on the map. Thoughts?
10 May 12 UTC Spring, 1915: you;ll have to message draug about that homes.
10 May 12 UTC Spring, 1915: Sorry, I'm OK with following orders to help out, but don't have time to figure out solutions for now.
10 May 12 UTC Spring, 1915: Fasces, SG is right. PM Draug your idea and see if he can work on that instead of NAf/Tunis. Unless you want to figure out the eliminations/ keepin' the map wonky.
10 May 12 UTC Spring, 1915: Can I be honest? though I'd love to be all weird with this game, I'd like to wrap it up within the next 3 weeks. so if you're ready be ready so I can email draug and let him know.
10 May 12 UTC Spring, 1915: I'll put my draw vote up whenever yours flies, Sand.
10 May 12 UTC Spring, 1915: put your moves in dubby...you're holdin us bak brah

lol
11 May 12 UTC Spring, 1915: Can we just finish this game, call it an impressive achievement, and then have a WtH 2 with a *different* impressive achievement, perhaps involving armies in certain places?
11 May 12 UTC Autumn, 1915: I can second that. If you want everyone to go back and just save it, I think that would be great.
11 May 12 UTC Autumn, 1915: Yeah, fuck it guys, everyone back to your colors, smile for the camera, say cheese, and draw.
