Spring, 1901: Best of luck, everyone. Here's to a good game.
Spring, 1901: Good game everybody!
Spring, 1901: HF all. | |
Autumn, 1902: Okay for ease of conversation I'll put my timezone here: GMT+1
Autumn, 1903: So, I am going to be moving to another state on Thursday. Moving and unpacking will probably take a good two days, so I was wondering if we could pause the game after this phase and resume on Sunday, when I should have reliable internet again.
Autumn, 1903: I'm good with it. If the rest of you want to vote, I'll vote right after this phase ends.
Autumn, 1903: Hey guys, I just voted for the unpause. Now we just need Russia, and we can resume!
Autumn, 1903: Sorry about that, I forgot to look back at the game.
Autumn, 1904: Hi all, My family is visiting me this weekend, limited availability... |
|
Autumn, 1907: good game everyone.. see ya next time
Autumn, 1907: Farewell, Turkey! You put up one heck of a fight.
Autumn, 1908: Hey all, As you can see on the orders page, I've made a move i didn't plan to do. This is not the first time it happens, things at work have been really stressful for me lately. i would like to ask for a pause. Tmrw and wednesday will be rough, after that maybe i can get a break. It'll be holidays after that here. I'd still have to work, but i can take it easier. |
|
Autumn, 1908: Yeah, I can vote for a pause. It's no fun when players aren't playing at their best.
Autumn, 1908: Voting unpause so the game wont wait on me, take as much time as you need Austria
Autumn, 1908: Same here.
Autumn, 1908: Thanks very much guys!
Autumn, 1908: So just out of interest, the pause won't last longer than a few days, a week at the most?
Autumn, 1908: The implication seemed to be that Thursday would be the earliest starting day.
Autumn, 1908: Thursday between 2 and 4PM GMT I'll probably unpause as promised, but if I need more time I 'll ask and not claim it by simply not unpausing
Autumn, 1908: Ready if you fine gentlemen are too
Autumn, 1908: Sorry about the wait.
Spring, 1916: I guess this is it. Aufwiedersehen.
Spring, 1916: Hello All, First of all: Russia, I will write my goodbye message when you're actually gone. I would like to ask a two-day pause to all participants, due to pretty heavy pressure at work. Thursday is our big meeting, then I move unpause again. Is this okay? Austria |
|
Spring, 1916: I'm fine with a pause. Anything to prolong my agony :P.
Autumn, 1916: Hey all, break is over for me. :) Good luck with the endgame everyone!
Autumn, 1916: I would like to take this opportunity to point out that unless you really believe that you two can work out a 17-17 split, where even a one supply center betrayal will cost you the game, it is pointless to continue. Since this is a winner takes all game, there is no prize for a strong second. By drawing now you will recieve 70 points, a 2 way draw gives 105, but it is much more likely that one of you will betray each other and get 210...I encourage both of you to take the safer option and accept a draw... i am clearly incapable of winning the game at this point and as such i will do my best to stop either of you from reaching 18, and to survive...if it comes close to me being eliminated i will help one of win...even though i would rather not
Spring, 1917: Before responding to Germany's message, two more players were recently defeated; Russia and France. I have appreciated playing with both of you, and hope to see you again in a future game. Particularly Russia I respect how you have remained a respectful player all through the game, despite the increasingly difficult situation you found yourself in and I believe the same can be said for France, except we didn't ever really discuss much during the game.
Spring, 1917: Indeed. A very well-played game by Russia and France, though it is a shame that I rarely got to speak with you.
Autumn, 1917: Hello Germany, I would like to respond publically to your public message. Thank you for that. First of all, the defense you put up to protect Germany is honorable. I have cooperated with Italy ever since Autumn 1902. Both of us have put ourselves at an individual risk with the combined Austrian-Italian resources rather than individual gain at the center of our considerations. If I remember correctly the decision to consistently work toward a two-way draw was taken around 1904/1905. Save one or two times where I forgot to input an order correctly, our collaboration has been excellent so far and we have exchanged many interesting ideas on the strategy and tactics to be put in place to defeat the other nations. I have no intention whatsoever stab Italy and want to work consistently toward the two-way draw we set earlier and to which we have both worked with dedication. Austria |
|
Spring, 1919: Is it just me or has the deadline for the next phase been postponed? Was there a server problem tonight?
Spring, 1919: Yeah, there was for a while earlier.
Autumn, 1919: In case it isn't obvious already, Germany, I fully intend on a two-way draw with Austria. I am taking some minor anti-stab precautions because that is just the type of player I am, but by and large I fully expect him to live up to his end of the deal. So, if you don't need more time to think, I would appreciate readying moves. I'm going to be rather busy the next few weeks. |

I hereby declare that Finland shall be set aside for the German refugees, in memoriam of their impeccable defense of their former empire. gg |
