06 Sep 11 UTC Autumn, 1901: That is one daring Russia we have here people!
06 Sep 11 UTC Autumn, 1901: Has anyone seen a 7 sc power after 1901 before today?
06 Sep 11 UTC Autumn, 1901: I did it once, but it was with a CD Turkey ; )
11 Sep 11 UTC Autumn, 1902: 24 hours was added to the turn,. so can Austria please finalize?
12 Sep 11 UTC Autumn, 1902: Sorry about the delay. I got held up.
15 Sep 11 UTC Autumn, 1903: When 5 of the 6 players on the map are attacking a measely 8 sc power, there is not much he can do.

I ask you all to really think about what you have done, and how the hell could someone with 8 sc be powerful enough to attempt a solo.

Italy did well at stirring you all up to attack me. But my question is what do you gain from my loss. If any of you are more powerful them him at the end of the following turn, you'll be next on his mega alliances.

Just think about that.
15 Sep 11 UTC Autumn, 1903: I'm all for thinking more rather than less and I will certainly entertain the thoughts to which you have invited us all.
May I, in return, invite you to consider the following: given your extraordinary opening year, which you felt the need to underline by a somewhat gloating comment on the global board, was it not a strong probability to see the players who were able to (so... not Germany!) react in the way they did?
15 Sep 11 UTC Autumn, 1903: And you are perfectly right: there was certainly not much you could do. Hence, one would be ill advised to conclude from the results of the last season that you are a poor player. In fact, one taking a long hard look at the map's transformations since the beginning should likely come to the opposite conclusion.
15 Sep 11 UTC Autumn, 1903: I wasn't trying to gloat, I was just wondering if it had happened before...
15 Sep 11 UTC Autumn, 1903: I share the same thoughts as France. Yes, I did manoeuver so you would be slowed down, but everyone here agreed on the matter. They all saw it also was in their interests to do so.

And, no, I wouldn't do that all the time, unless necessary. Your positionning was perfect there. No doubts about it, you played it great to get there. But your position was too good, that's why.
15 Sep 11 UTC Autumn, 1903: I didn't play it great. A turkey NMR and what was probably a misorder in Germany (why did he move to ska instead of swe), I was lucky to be at 7, or should I say unlucky given that is set me up for this.
15 Sep 11 UTC Autumn, 1903: A Turkey NMR is usually good for Russia, no?
Unless...
15 Sep 11 UTC Autumn, 1903: 1. I did not NMR, I held.
2. That is a standard German opening, although probably not the best choice considering you were in Silesia.
15 Sep 11 UTC Autumn, 1903: Turkey holding in Bulgaria allowed me to get to 7. However it also made me a primary target. I can gaurntee you if I was bounce in Sweden and Rumania, I would have had only 5 sc after 1901, and probably 6 or 7 in 1902. I would have been targeted by everyone in 1903 as a result. and so would actually have more sc atm then I currently do.
15 Sep 11 UTC Autumn, 1903: It's always tough to be the SC leader. Once Italy backed out of France, I had little choice but to either also back out or get mired down in a nigh-Afghanistan mess.
15 Sep 11 UTC Autumn, 1903: 7 sc England vs 4 sc France.

Was there ever any doubt of who would win?
19 Sep 11 UTC Spring, 1904: That was kinda weird. Sorry about that.
24 Sep 11 UTC Spring, 1905: Sorry everyone, I'm quite busy this weekend and it's the reason I didn't reply you all. Will do sunday. Thanks for understanding!
26 Sep 11 UTC Hi guys, my laptop just broke so for the next few days (5-10 days until me new one arrives) my internet access will be severely limited.

Sorry for any inconveniences this causes :(
26 Sep 11 UTC Pause?
26 Sep 11 UTC I wouldn't mind a pause. I'll put it just in case.
26 Sep 11 UTC If a pause is needed, you got it.
26 Sep 11 UTC The English are also happy to pause. If you need it, Russia, it's there for the taking.
26 Sep 11 UTC thank you all for the pause, although it isn't 100% needed I appreciate it.
26 Sep 11 UTC I guess we should all vote unpause now, so that Russia can free it whenever he's available again.
26 Sep 11 UTC Good idea.
Will do so now.

Russia: do take your time. This pause is a real blessing for me (as I'm swamped with work and other RL troubles). There's no point coming back from the pause if you'll still have a hard time connecting.
27 Sep 11 UTC I should be good sometime next weeks, thanks again for the pause
28 Sep 11 UTC No prob. Just one thing: could you announce, like, 24 hours before you'll do the unpause? It's just that I didn't have Time to send any messages yet this phase = /
28 Sep 11 UTC sure thing
05 Oct 11 UTC bump
05 Oct 11 UTC I'll be back betwen 12 and 48 hours from now, this is for Italy.
05 Oct 11 UTC cheers!
05 Oct 11 UTC Thanks Russia!
08 Oct 11 UTC its go time
09 Oct 11 UTC Interesting midgame, with all five remaining powers within a SC of each other.
09 Oct 11 UTC who is up for a draw? lol
09 Oct 11 UTC I'm up :D Real life's put a bounty on my head at present.
09 Oct 11 UTC right before the interesting midgame we end it, I think that would annoy Austria and Germany, who were recently booted
10 Oct 11 UTC I'd be up for a draw as well!
10 Oct 11 UTC Are we really discussing this?
10 Oct 11 UTC :-D
10 Oct 11 UTC France is disbelieving. Kill the heathens.
10 Oct 11 UTC To tell you all the truth, given how busy my life is right now, if there's any interest for a draw, I'm in.
10 Oct 11 UTC Same for me. With the pause, I lost interest in the game + busy RL
10 Oct 11 UTC entirely up to England.
10 Oct 11 UTC Yeah, great game all. I had a weak position here in the end so I'll gladly take it.
10 Oct 11 UTC Good game all. Crazy Russian opening! Don't think it did you too much good in the end though...
I wish I could have continued to play this one, but I really have too much going on right now and I appreciate the chance to close the books on as many games as I can.

Hope to see you all on another table very soon!
10 Oct 11 UTC A five way draw: that's just sad...
10 Oct 11 UTC yeah Zultar, but I just didn't have that much time to do the mid-end game.
The mid game was interesting. A lot of possibilities were discussed.
That's sad because it was my strongest Italy game yet!
10 Oct 11 UTC @Sacred digits: I think your positionning was rather interesting. Alliance with France, or me and Turkey if RF was on the way.
