10 May 11 UTC Spring, 1904: He hasnt told me that.
10 May 11 UTC Spring, 1904: Already? but it's only 1904.
10 May 11 UTC Spring, 1904: jeezzz...i guess me and russia are the dogs here
10 May 11 UTC Spring, 1904: yeah i should have known better than to trust austria
10 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1905: jeez germany, you could have gone out with honor and not have left
10 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1905: lots of dishonor on the Internet
10 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1905: Are we Klingons?
10 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1905: not really but it feels cooler to say we are
10 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1905: Germany has/had no honor says Worf
10 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1906: I say finish the weaklings off and call it a four way draw
10 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1906: aw... well it was fun wasn't it?
10 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1906: well Aus I agree four way draws are kind of lame
10 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1906: I will only vote draw if there are three or fewer powers left.
10 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1906: I won't support a draw, I know that won't count, but I stand by the idea that a 4 way draw is crap
10 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1906: Gah. Idiot me.
10 May 11 UTC Spring, 1908: crap. I am tired and just realized I gave my word to two different plans -- one, not to solo, and two, to help Italy survive. I try to keep my word, and the only way I can see to do so is to accede to the four way. France, England, is this ok with you?
10 May 11 UTC Spring, 1908: With or without Italy, I don't think a solo is in your reach either way. But let's see how things go without Austria first.
10 May 11 UTC Spring, 1908: I don't think killing me will make much difference, I mean its just one sc, so start making plans
10 May 11 UTC Spring, 1908: three way draw Italy out
10 May 11 UTC Spring, 1909: Its a stalemate right now. With Austria out, I will fourway draw. But I gave my word, and do not break it, so I have to fight to maintain the fourway.
10 May 11 UTC Spring, 1909: Italy should be out three way
10 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1909: We need to get rid of Austria then the game can end
10 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1909: Agreed.
10 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1909: please let me survive.
i was truth to my word the whole game.
10 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1909: "please let me survive.
i was truth to my word the whole game." - Then you absolutely don't deserve the survive. You have 2 supplies left in your control. and none of them are vital to the stalemate line, you should be gone.
10 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1909: ok thanks.
10 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1909: haha, wow.. um guys... do you need a little help destroying me?
10 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1909: I dont think Italy deserves a part of the draw either but it's late so whatever
10 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1909: Blar! I was so busy chatting with everyone I forgot to enter order. I feel kinda dumb.
10 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1909: italy wont beg anymore.
but in a near future.
Italy will rebel, and all europa will bend to Italys mighty army and fleet.
A new roman empire will be born, 15 century's after it fall the Romans will rule europe again.
10 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1909: Throw the Italians to the Lions!
10 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1909: turkey will protect the tunisians till the end,
10 May 11 UTC Spring, 1910: We shall see
10 May 11 UTC Spring, 1910: That's what's interesting about the fall of Rome though. Successor states to the Eastern Roman Empire lasted until the fall of Byzantium to the Ottoman Turks, and in some ways the Austria Hungarian Empire was a successor to Western Rome, and it lasted till 1919!
10 May 11 UTC Spring, 1910: we have a historian amongst us and I thought I knew history
10 May 11 UTC Spring, 1910: very true, but really the Austro-Hungarian culture was far more eastern european then roman. yeah it did have its roots in rome, but it really was culturized by the bulkans and the powerhouse we now know as Romania
10 May 11 UTC Spring, 1910: I'm no historian, I just know some stuff here and there. But yeah, Austria absolutely has a point.
10 May 11 UTC Spring, 1910: thats one of the best things about playing this game, most of the good players are kinda history buffs, and you get cool opinions from them
10 May 11 UTC Spring, 1910: I love history one of my favorite subjects prob why I wait tables for a living lol
10 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1910: I am a history buff too, but I tended to think of Austria as more influenced by the current country of hungary, and in part Czech, than romania. But I am more of a political historian than a cultural one. A pleasure playing with all of you by the way,. And I am sorry Italy. I really would have supported you, but the destroy worried me. When I give my word I do try to keep it, but put myself in a bad position this game by forgetting that I had given my word twice.
10 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1910: and by buff, I mean masters degree. But I had the sense in getting my masters while at the same time getting an employable degree -- lawyer.
10 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1910: this is one of the best games I have ever played as far as lack of morons/13-yr olds goes
10 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1910: you also said you had my back, so really no harm no foul, you choose what alliances you keep, none are permanant
10 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1910: Heh. Yeah, I'm still trying to think of what to do with my unemployable degree: Anthropology.
10 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1910: its rare, but it does happen. I will be interested to see your usernames, as you are both good players, but I am not familiar with either of your press styles. I think I may have played France once before, but am not sure.
10 May 11 UTC Autumn, 1910: I agree to the draw after this turn. Aus still has a unit on the board and would participate in the draw if we agreed to it now
10 May 11 UTC and I feel pretty good, I beat italy which was worth it and was able to move around the map and beat russia and germany
10 May 11 UTC And that would be very silly. I'm actually kinda curious to see who everyone is, if I know anyone from the forums.
10 May 11 UTC yea, I did say that Austria, but I didnt give my word. It is, perhaps, a bizarre distinction, but one I always try to observe. I figure misleading statements and outright lies are par for the course in diplomacy, but someones word has to bind them in all circumstances. Or something like that.
