01 Feb 11 UTC Spring, 1901: Here's to a great game everyone!
01 Feb 11 UTC Spring, 1901: hello everyone - sorry it took me a while to get on for the first season. will speak to you all very soon. good luck all.
02 Feb 11 UTC Spring, 1901: Turkey and Italy have not put in moves.
I'd hate to start the showcase game of this site with 2 NMR's, should we ask a mod for a forced pause? It might be due to snowstorm after all.
Thoughts?
02 Feb 11 UTC Spring, 1901: Wah - back now, didn't realise we were starting. Some swift diplomacy everyone...
07 Feb 11 UTC Spring, 1902: I will be traveling for a week starting March 4 and will be asking for a pause. When I get there, if the wifi works well, I will unpause. I'll send a reminder around March 1. Thanks for your understanding.
07 Feb 11 UTC Spring, 1902: thanks for the waaaaay heads up.

if I'm not eliminated by then, you'll have my pause =P
08 Feb 11 UTC Spring, 1902: Thanks so much, Russia. Golden.
08 Feb 11 UTC Autumn, 1902: hey - why are you not thanking me? I'm chasing away all those Irish pirates for you!
16 Feb 11 UTC Autumn, 1903: The French solo seems to be well on its way. Anyone who wants to help me stop him, plese send me a private message.
16 Feb 11 UTC Autumn, 1903: Yes Germany, since 10 more centers are immideately at my disposal, all players should drop their efforts and ensure your one unit loss is vindicated.
16 Feb 11 UTC Autumn, 1903: Just in the past few minutes since I posted the message, I have already heard from some of them. We all know this is not about one center or about vindication.
16 Feb 11 UTC Autumn, 1903: Germany, I am certainly glad that in such a high caliber game, others would be writing to you to engage in diplomacy. Were you expecting otherwise? I'm glad you seem so pleasantly surprised to be talked to.

And seeing how this is a high caliber game, I am confident that the other players have all been at 8 centers themselves in the past and realize that getting 10 more is no mean feat. I'm also confident that they will all analyze the situation carefully to forestall a long-term threat, including propping you up for as long as possible... but I am sure they are happy to have been warned by you in the global tab just in case they had missed last turn's developments =P
16 Feb 11 UTC Autumn, 1903: And they are no doubt grateful for your sarcasm
16 Feb 11 UTC Autumn, 1903: I hope so. I'm sorry you had to be the target, but your initial post initiated it. Too bad I don't have a more biting wit, moments like these, i'd love to be able to come up with a Colbert quip.
16 Feb 11 UTC Autumn, 1903: to tell the truth, germany was also genuinely surprised that france would attack her...
maybe she truly didn't expect these replies?
16 Feb 11 UTC Autumn, 1903: Ok now I am laughing :)
16 Feb 11 UTC Autumn, 1903: Merriment all around. I'm glad.
16 Feb 11 UTC Autumn, 1903: Crosspost...I was laughing about France's Colbert reference
19 Feb 11 UTC Spring, 1904: I will be asking for a pause starting March 4 (if I am still alive then). I'll be away for a week, however I should have wifi there, in which case I will unpause as early as the night of March 5. I'll send a reminder here the day before I leave. Thanks to everyone in advance.
19 Feb 11 UTC Spring, 1904: no problem. I'm sure we will all try our best to make sure you wont have to both with such a pesky pause by mar 4 =P
