04 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 1909: I actually have played a game that almost stretched from one summer to the next. Never play 3 days/phase games (especially when people don't finalize)!
04 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 1909: I was in a two day/phase world map game, luckily i screwed up my moves with in the first couple moves cause that game went forever
04 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 1909: That can be said of any world game.
07 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 1909: Agreed. I played one world game (with decent players even) and it sucked the life out of me. Never again.
09 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 1909: Ok, what is the expected return date for this game?
09 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 1909: Turkey mentioned it above.
09 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 1909: I can't scroll back far enough, I guess.
09 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 1909: 10th iirc
09 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 1909: Italy: What I am about to tell you is going to change the way you play WebDiplomacy forever. Scroll to the bottom of this webpage and look at the hyperlinks that follow" Archive:".
09 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 1909: I'll be returning tonight to my country, co I will be able to restart playing this games.
I clicked unpause.
09 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 1909: GoGOOGoGOOOGo OGOOGOG GOOGGOO0G)G))G0)G0))G
10 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 1909: Hey sorry I know this is bad timing but could we pause for another 4 months??
10 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 1909: A-H: And you don't hit unpause?
10 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 1909: Ummm...France. Can *you* hit unpause...
10 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 1909: thanks england, I didnt want to be to harsh about it
10 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 1909: Russia, the ball's in your court : )
13 Dec 10 UTC Autumn, 1909: So, my dear friends. My exams are looming. Are we willing to pause until Monday?
13 Dec 10 UTC Autumn, 1909: You know what would be better than a pause? : )
13 Dec 10 UTC Autumn, 1909: Ooh, Ooh, I know this one!!
13 Dec 10 UTC Autumn, 1909: well its been an hour since you said you knew it, but i see you are struggling with the answer. If i do recall i think it starts with a D :)
13 Dec 10 UTC Autumn, 1909: Is it a Draw?
14 Dec 10 UTC Autumn, 1909: I will pause, but I'd like to see this turn first, unless anyone has a problem with taht.
14 Dec 10 UTC Autumn, 1909: Thanks for playing Austria :)

Why don't you finalize your retreat? After all it will be a disband right?
14 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 1910: Could we pause now?
15 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 1910: Russia, please don't forget to pause.
15 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 1910: Russia: Yeah . . .
21 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 1910: When is this game being unpaused?
21 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 1910: France said: "I know this is annoying, but I would like a pause the 14th through the 20th for finals and a trans-continental flight"

the time has expired I think.
21 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 1910: Thanks
22 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 1910: OK, guys. Sorry for the hassle. My parents conveniently decided to move down the street while I arrived, so I don't have 24 hour internet access. Well, in the new apartment I have except for on my mom's phone, and it's taking me three years to write this message on it. But fear not! I still have no need of a substitute. There is still internet in the old apartment. Tomorrow, as dawn breaks in some longitude of the flobe, I shall log on, submit my diplomacy and unpause the game. And this will happen because it has already been arranged. My my deepest and most sincere apologies.
22 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 1910: I will not be unpausing till 27th, cool? im @ the in laws for holiday
22 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 1910: I don't know whether that was sarcastic or not, but I'll update you guys anyway.

I'm sorry, but I need one more day. I'm here, but there really wasn't enough time to do my diplomacy, check my orders and what-not. I have opened all the pages that I need, though, on my browser, so I'll be able to type my replies without internet tonight, then come back tomorrow, paste my replies and unpause. There should not be any room for failure there. If it really gets to be impossible with my NMR'ing left and right once I unpause, I'll ask for a sub.
23 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 1910: Don't sweat it. After all this I'd hate for you to nmr
23 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 1910: Alright, I'm done and pressed the unpause button. It's up to you guys if you want to pause for Christmas and Christmas Eve or not.
26 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 1910: Unpause entered.
26 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 1910: same here
28 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 1910: We still need Russia and Germany to press unpause...
What are we waitting for?
28 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 1910: damn, thought I already did.
28 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 1910: stuck, flight was canceled back to boston. bear with me...
29 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 1910: Any prediction to resume Russia?
30 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 1910: new flight is tonight, anticipate unpause tomorrow morning, fair enough?
30 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 1910: Then we will resume before the new year!
30 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 1910: good for me
01 Jan 11 UTC Autumn, 1910: I'm finally free!
03 Jan 11 UTC Autumn, 1910: Alright guys, let's draw.
04 Jan 11 UTC apparently turk would like to test our resolve...
04 Jan 11 UTC OK
let's be realistic...
I'm not going anywhere.
Let's draw this baby.

Just to let you all know:
Kizomba is the name of an African dance.
It also means Hyena.
It was also the name of one of my dogs, a Rhodesian Ridgeback that died posterior to the creation of this game due to a Mastocytoma. Unfortonately I wasn't able to honour him with a solo victory. Best dog I have ever had.

Anyway thanks everyone for this game. It was good to play with you all.
04 Jan 11 UTC GG All
05 Jan 11 UTC Troodonte: That's interesting. In what African language does it mean hyena and refer to a dance? I'm sorry for your dog, but I think you honored it well enough! 17 SC's is no small feat.

(recording 80 --> 140)
16 Jan 11 UTC I don't know the african language, but I know that kizomba is an dance from Angola.
