20 Nov 20 UTC GG all. This was my first game back into Dip after a 3 year absence. I am mostly an fp player but I enjoy the odd gb every now and then.

This was a tough one and I manage to grow too late to have a serious chance at the solo. We started with what I thought was an EG but E unexplicably turned against me. Since then I was alone fighting F R E and that was tough and slowed me down in the long run. R kept nagging at me and I never had enough units to go take StP or WAR. In hindsight it would have been better for R to keep T in check but hey!

The one little help came from I who decided to attack F, although I'm not sure it was the right thing to do from his perspective?

Towards the end I should have bounced TYR to keep hold of VIE for 1 more year but then I wouldn't have taken GAL so I think there wasn't much to do. F & I fortified themselves in Iberia and that was it.

I'm not a fan of whittling down draws - to me there is only win, draw, lost so it doesn't really matter and is a waste of time. Also R deserved to be in the draw as they contributed to slow T down and build a line.

Gg all, and look forward to playing with you soon.

20 Nov 20 UTC Good game Germany, I thought you would take the solo, glad I stuck around! And yes, Turkey and I had a good early relationship, so you were getting a bit prioritised, but I left them too free (made too many errors limiting my SCs). I thought you might have a chance at taking out France and Italy, but as soon as you jumped Warsaw, I knew Turkey would make a move against you again. Nice first game back in WebDip!

Turkey you were a great ally at the beginning, messed up a ton of my moves and then allowed you the upper hand, but a good game!
20 Nov 20 UTC Yes, GG all. I really enjoyed this one.

@Germany - Welcome back and good game. Like Russia, I also thought that you might get the solo. Fighting 3 countries is tough, and is usually a death sentence, so again, good job navigating through that. Italy going after France was some explicit help for you, but implicitly, as much as England and France were both attacking you, I think you benefited from France also fighting England.

@Italy - Great game. I thought you played very well. If Russia and I weren’t as aligned as we were, I think your play would have been better rewarded. I personally feel your Spring 1908 moves were a great read of the board (and not just because I was the primary beneficiary). Your position was unsustainable. Packing oneself into Iberia is a great way to sneak into a draw (and it worked). Not only that, but it accelerated both sides of the board, creating the exact conditions you needed to sneak into the draw.

@Russia - You were also a great ally. I enjoyed working with you. Spring 1909 was a “now or never” moment for me. Recently I’ve been trying to take more risks and play for wins rather than just ensuring draws. If I didn’t make a move then, I felt like a solo would be out of the cards. Germany ended up ensuring it was anyway, so I wonder what our extended Juggernaut would have looked like. In any case, I’m glad you made it into the draw.

@ France - My mistake in Spring 1913. I should have supported you into Spain (I also feel I made a mistake in Fall 1912, not moving Tunis to NA). In any case, I thought Italy played well, so it’s fitting they got into the draw.
20 Nov 20 UTC Gg all. @G it's been too long to remember what I was thinking, or wasn't.
20 Nov 20 UTC @E, I know the feeling!
20 Nov 20 UTC Good game everyone and particularly Turkey - I found myself thwarted by you at every turn! Once Austria collapsed my slim hope was to hold out against the R/T as long as possible and hope something shook up the alliance. It became clear I was going to be overrun so I made a dash for Iberia. My apologies France, I would understand your frustration here. Anyway well played everyone that was an enjoyable game.
20 Nov 20 UTC Hi all!
Thanks the game and your thoughts I've enjoyed both to play and read.
My congratulation to Germany, to tell the truth I thought we can't stop Turkey solo after you continued the attack against me, but you arrived much quicker to the near-solo position than him
Sorry for my move in Autumn 1904 against Belgium, I didn't felt you are commited for a long alliance with me and I needed one more unit against England. I would be happy for an alliance between us, especially with a finally strong Jaggarnaut.
And thanks to let us in the draw. :)
@Italy: Of course I wasn't happy with your moves against me, but finally it was a good one. I was planning to pact a peace with Germany somehow and then come to South and help you against Turkey, but it is likely that I would be late.
@Turkey: I think you played very well, you were also close to the solo.
@Russia: I was hoping you can push more against Germany, but Turkey's good stab made life more difficult for both of us. :)
I wish you good games and luck for the coming games.
