Given though the recent events, and the moves that just took place, having more time than the one day per phase (that this specific game is based on) given the circumstances seems quite "timely." Granted, I say this as it surely affects me, but I don't like the idea of having an indefinite time in "pause" after the most significant phase in years for the game. That does not seem to be in the spirit not the game and certainly on the surface, seems to favor those (you) who may wish to have more time to evaluate options. I am not trying to say the pause is not justified, I just think duration and context of the timing are worth discussing globally versus a blank "pause." | |

I am not saying the pause is not justified, I am just saying the timing and duration should be discussed. St. P has also shared more context with me personally on why a pause is needed now, versus before the holidays, and that does not align to what was posted publicly. | |
| Autumn, 1911: [Brest]:Rule 6 of the site rules provides as follows: “The pause is there to stop players from missing their orders, but is not part of the game. As such pausing or unpausing should not be used for diplomatic gain, such as refusing to unpause unless other players will draw the game. If it is being abused staff may step in to sort it out.” So, Budapest’s suggestion that a pause is “part of the game” is inaccurate and contrary to its purpose. Budapest, if you know a reason the game should not be paused, say so. Otherwise, stop trying to dictate your terms on the pause. |
