19 Oct 20 UTC	Thanks Germany for supporting me too. To be honest France, I underestimated Austria's quick growth and the danger. I came after you in Spain, Mars and Portugal as I thought they would be good insurance. Yes, I should have taken more notice of your supporting moves, but I am still relatively new to this and didn't take sufficient account of the bigger picture. You live and learn.
20 Oct 20 UTC	Yeah, this one was closer than it needed to be. More so than the supports, the game situation meant it wasn't in France's interest to attack you here, Italy. There wasn't enough time to eliminate you, and we needed you to form the line against Austria. For the same reason, I didn't go after France--it was too easy for them to throw if they perceived they were being whittled. In fact, if you look at the S11 moves I think they did try to throw, which was kind of fair.
20 Oct 20 UTC	As for earlier in the game, I think you're already doing a lot better than many gunboat players by trying to ally someone at all, but you gave Austria a ton of space by putting pressure on Turkey without really getting anything in return. If you're going to Lepanto, you're hoping to get all of Turkey yourself!
20 Oct 20 UTC	I’ll also say I still struggle with choices in italian games and italy can be a tough one for a new player. Most of my success came from russia and turkey attacking each other in the opening
20 Oct 20 UTC	Oh, I don't mean to put all the blame on Italy here. It's hard to predict what's going to happen several moves in the future. And as you say, with Russia and Turkey fighting and Russia collapsing almost immediately, it's quite possible you would've come out on top in the east anyway.
