06 Oct 20 UTC Autumn, 1999: How exactly can you see if he readies up or not?
06 Oct 20 UTC Autumn, 1999: This is going to be a 7 way draw
06 Oct 20 UTC Autumn, 1999: Who will be knocked out.
06 Oct 20 UTC Autumn, 1999: Lol
06 Oct 20 UTC Autumn, 1999: @Ukraine - if the tick is grey, they've only saved their orders. If the tick is green, they've readied up.
06 Oct 20 UTC Autumn, 1999: Surely it's too early to be going for a draw already?
Mon 12 Oct UTC Spring, 2002: Screw you spain.
Mon 12 Oct UTC Spring, 2002: Said with real dis-Spain.
Mon 12 Oct UTC Spring, 2002: Lmao
Mon 12 Oct UTC Spring, 2002: So... Draw?
Mon 12 Oct UTC Spring, 2002: Draw
Mon 12 Oct UTC Spring, 2002: What if I don’t like Spain and want him dead first? xD
Mon 12 Oct UTC Spring, 2002: But ok, since you are all tired of this party I guess I’ll agree on a draw. Wp all.
Mon 12 Oct UTC Spring, 2002: @ukraine, if I were alive, I would prefer that.
Mon 12 Oct UTC Spring, 2002: This has actually been a pretty well played game. All of the players seemed to be competent, and the group dynamics were interesting. And best of all: no jerks! I tip my hat especially to Egypt, who played a difficult position as well as it can be played. If Spain goes along, a big-ass draw is not an unreasonable result.
Mon 12 Oct UTC Spring, 2002: True that #justiceforegypt
Tue 13 Oct UTC Spring, 2002: Spain?
Tue 13 Oct UTC Spring, 2002: Is spain writing his own death sentence or is it just me?
Tue 13 Oct UTC Spring, 2002: Let’s do one more turn then and when Spain is here we can decide on what to do. I just spent fuckin 10 min on putting in orders now, so let it happen haha
Tue 13 Oct UTC Spring, 2002: We'll put orders in for just in case, but still may as well keep the draw vote in
Tue 13 Oct UTC Spring, 2002: Saved but also keeping my Draw vote
Tue 13 Oct UTC Spring, 2002: Egypt: you did not listen to me, and i did the math. no way for you to keep Cairo. i took aswan before Turkey could get to it sry m8. Dont leave angry, just leave.
Tue 13 Oct UTC Spring, 2002: Everyone else: who am i to deny a good draw? if im being honest, when i started this game i imagined a great spanish empire where i keep my mainland intact, but i invade all of Africa. i thought the borders would look cool. and they did. all im missing is cairo and Sinai. Still great game though
Tue 13 Oct UTC Spring, 2002: truthfully, making the British mainland dark orange would have been cool too, but thats just not how this game shaped out
Tue 13 Oct UTC Spring, 2002: now the draw is in Ukraines hands
Tue 13 Oct UTC Spring, 2002: TBH, name a better friendship than me and France. Brotherhoood right there. El
fraternidad.
Tue 13 Oct UTC Spring, 2002: I count the Ukraine border as 16 territories
Ours as 20 territories
We will gobble up Ukraine
Tue 13 Oct UTC Spring, 2002: Since it’s 2 hours till the next thing. I will just see what happens and then press draw. I’m just curious haha
Tue 13 Oct UTC Spring, 2002: whatcouldpossiblygowrong.gif
Tue 13 Oct UTC Haha, nice moves. Good game well played all!
Tue 13 Oct UTC GG cheers peeps
Tue 13 Oct UTC gg all, it was a great board
Tue 13 Oct UTC gg all, except Spain.
Tue 13 Oct UTC And my thanks to Britain and France for the Triple Alliance.
Tue 13 Oct UTC egypt fr how can you be mad about being invaded in diplomacy
Tue 13 Oct UTC its like being pissed you get caught in Among Us
Tue 13 Oct UTC or upset you get found in Hide and Seek. Its the point of the game
Tue 13 Oct UTC Tbh Spain, you and England were the only reasons for why this game never became interesting. Too damn defensive. But, yeah, I’m not gonna be the one to judge.
Tue 13 Oct UTC Spain wasn't too defensive, they gained 7 centres. Totally agree about Britain though, that was the most boring and noncommittal game strategy I've seen in my few months on this site - but to each their own
Tue 13 Oct UTC But good game nonetheless and my thanks to all I allied with, some good relationships and communication there
Tue 13 Oct UTC Spain only took fights he couldn’t loose. He just took 3 centers from Egypt when he saw that turkey was winning. If Spain or England had been a bit more opportunistic this could have ended up as a great game, but whatevs :)
Tue 13 Oct UTC I bandied about the risk of a Ukrainian solo quite frequently in various communications, and I felt this was honestly the best tool for convincing others about the risk of betrayal. I thought Spain did pretty well considering they started out in a bit of conflict with France, but ended up as allies instead and pointed towards Egypt. idk, I'm not as frustrated about lack of ambition in this game as much as a lack of self-interest. A player who behaves in an erratic and unpredictable manner that doesn't seem to benefit them or those around them is far worse than one you might reason with.
Tue 13 Oct UTC The reason I have beef with Spain is that I got a message saying I was part of an England-Spain-France-Germany-Egypt alliance, and then Spain stabbed me instantly.
Tue 13 Oct UTC gg all, Spain played great compared to how I have played as Spain before
Tue 13 Oct UTC totally agree about britain, the game couldve gotten very interesting if they used their position to stab france or germany but seem like they weren’t motivated for anything beyond a draw
Tue 13 Oct UTC If anyone wants another modern game here you go. https://webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=326936
Tue 13 Oct UTC "If Spain or England had been a bit more opportunistic" lol is that code for "I wanted Spain and England to stab france so i could solo easier"?
Tue 13 Oct UTC :)
Tue 13 Oct UTC egypt to be fair, i did not think you were in the allaince at the beginning. I think france mighta told you, but he def didnt tell me. as far as i knew it was F/B/G/S
Tue 13 Oct UTC and yeah, this game would have ended diff if England decided to a) build armies and b) stop guarding MAO and the channel from his allies
