14 Jun 10 UTC Spring, 1907: Every god damn time I give this Italy guy moves to best coordinate with me, he goes and does something completely ridiculous!
14 Jun 10 UTC Spring, 1907: the percentage is only based on points you have. if you want a better ratings system, look at the ghost rankings
14 Jun 10 UTC Spring, 1907: It doesn't matter, Austria. This position is better anyway. It bought me a turn in Apulia.
14 Jun 10 UTC Spring, 1907: Hey, I was top-40% at one point. Then I lost two live games back-to-back. lol
14 Jun 10 UTC Spring, 1907: and for the points ranking you need more than a hundred since you start with that amount
14 Jun 10 UTC Spring, 1907: idk wtf your problem is Austria, your idea was worse than this.
14 Jun 10 UTC Spring, 1907: Oh boy! Apulia! Now you've lost Ven this turn!
14 Jun 10 UTC Spring, 1907: no I didn't
14 Jun 10 UTC Spring, 1907: Settle down, Sisters. Papa France might beat us if we keep raising such a racket!
14 Jun 10 UTC Spring, 1907: the fleet in Rome is stuck on that coast
14 Jun 10 UTC Spring, 1907: papa france only needs 4 centers to win, you have nothing at all to worry about Turkey
14 Jun 10 UTC Autumn, 1907: Turkey, that last comment might be the single funniest thing I've ever read on this site.
14 Jun 10 UTC Autumn, 1907: Im about to pop some champagne in Venice. Who's with me!!
14 Jun 10 UTC Autumn, 1907: oh, lol, I totally missed the joke XD

14 Jun 10 UTC Autumn, 1907: I VIL SURVIVE
14 Jun 10 UTC Autumn, 1907: wow the map just got a lot bluer from those two centers
14 Jun 10 UTC Autumn, 1907: damn guess i not gonna survive
14 Jun 10 UTC Autumn, 1907: That's exactly what I said to myself. The blue in St. Petersburg is frankly rather stunning.
14 Jun 10 UTC Autumn, 1907: Oh, look who's back!
14 Jun 10 UTC Autumn, 1907: Must have been bad tactics and diplomacy on your part.
14 Jun 10 UTC Autumn, 1907: ...nvm, that's not Russia.
14 Jun 10 UTC Autumn, 1907: haha lol austria. nice one
14 Jun 10 UTC Spring, 1908: it was bad tactics i didnt complete my orders twice at important parts

if anyones interested
14 Jun 10 UTC Spring, 1908: I'd like to thank the academy for this best Supporting Actor Oscar, and say I couldn't have done it without Russia incompetently stabbing Turkey.
14 Jun 10 UTC Spring, 1908: ^^
14 Jun 10 UTC Spring, 1908: do you want to make it worth lightly less of a bet Germany? I'm already down 40 for today :P
14 Jun 10 UTC Spring, 1908: i disagree you couldnt of done it without italy stabbing austria rather then going for france
14 Jun 10 UTC Spring, 1908: I'll gladly take my award for "Best Bad Guy Turned Good Guy"
14 Jun 10 UTC http://webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=31386 cheaper one
14 Jun 10 UTC Germany, it was never a stab, the alliance was made in the first turn. I overlooked the detail that Turkey can't be allied with Italy and Russia :P
14 Jun 10 UTC broken link^^
14 Jun 10 UTC true wasnt a stab but ita aus and germ are kinda auto allied for the first couple of turns for some reason
14 Jun 10 UTC stupid copy paste
http://webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=31387
14 Jun 10 UTC Italy's got a choice in this kind of game. Shaft AH, get in on the juggernaut, and get wiped out by Turkey, or go after France, and get wiped out by France and AH needing SCs to keep armies in the field. It's really not a pleasant position.
14 Jun 10 UTC gg
14 Jun 10 UTC good game, everybody
14 Jun 10 UTC by the time I had realized what was happening, I was already dead :P I should not have cooperated with France though, that was a mistake.
14 Jun 10 UTC That "some reason" is because they're corridor powers. One expanding into another does nothing to secure yourself. Diplomacy is all about acquiring and maintaining a corner of influence, then pushing to another corner and then Zerg rushing across the middle. Here, France secured his northwest corner via alliance and started pushing toward the middle while securing his southwest corner via warfare.

To show a failing example, Turkey started with a corner but has to break out of it before he can go for his other corner (Russia). In this case, I hadn't broken out before I was attacked by that corner.
14 Jun 10 UTC Good game, all.
14 Jun 10 UTC YES TURNED A PROFIT
14 Jun 10 UTC You're right, Eden. And I hope my performance throughout the game demonstrated a little bit of tactical and diplomatic ability.
14 Jun 10 UTC i was france ha ha
