15 Jul 20 UTC	ggs, I'm sitting here wondering if I could have done anything better to prevent the solo...but being dog piled as France left me with few choices (not a complaint, anti-France meta is good imo) I will complain that Germany, buddy, you didn't really help the defense :( bouncing me in MAR to prevent Italy from losing it, and thus weakening them too greatly to fight back against Austria, _doesn't matter_ if you take Venice anyway :) not to mention completely abandoning the east and losing Berlin because of it :( and then taking Rome too instead of taking Trieste :((((((( England, you're not innocent in my eyes either, taking SPA in 1908 meant that I couldn't go and fight Austria for another year :'( From a more tactical side, taking DEN with an army in 1908 really screwed up your attempt to invade Germany and then prevented you from getting a fleet in BAL for defense. If you still wanted to build that army and use it, taking BEL from Italy would probably have been the better choice.

I spent a couple of turns too long focused on retaking what I lost from Germany's attack (and retaliating against Germany), only to suddenly realize that Austria had grown huge and that I wasn't in position to do anything to contribute to holding the line.
15 Jul 20 UTC	All about acknowledgement and growth here! The more I look at this, the more I should have realized in S09 that Munich would fall and that I needed to abandon SPA to defend ROM until MUN/BER could be retaken, and just hope nobody killed me off.
15 Jul 20 UTC	Yeah, I usually rush to defend against the solo threat as soon as it's obvious (hopefully to everyone). I find that people are usually pretty good at not getting in the way of that, and if not then I figure there was nothing I could have done anyways.
