06 Sep 10 UTC Perhaps we should just Draw this thing?
It is really dragging out in time...?
06 Sep 10 UTC *Draw Set*
Furthermore, it is hard to see what more can be accomplished in this one?
If E/F holds, then this will be a E/F vs R/T stalemate, which Italy might or might not survive. Does anyone want to spend a few more months to find out that?
06 Sep 10 UTC I agree!
07 Sep 10 UTC England does not obivously. Can we all please join together and have him eliminated ? :)
08 Sep 10 UTC I'd rather not draw. I have very little time to spend on Diplomacy so these are the only games I can really participate in. It seems particularly odd to draw before eliminating Italy and Russia. Still, if you are all in favour of drawing I won't hold you up - draw it is.
08 Sep 10 UTC Thank you for Drawing.
I was of the impression that the E/F was an "unbreakable" alliance, and that I would - had I betrayed Russia - then be eliminated myself! I was in such a game some time ago, where E/F did a 17/17 on my Turkey under similar circumstances.

Instead I wanted to aim for the "Southern Stalemate line"
This turn I was aiming for getting supported into APU, disbanding the F fleet there.
Had this succeeded, I think I/R/T had an de facto stalemate line in place, in the line of:

Beyond that line it would - imho - not have been possible for E/F to break through. So the Draw was ultimately logical..

I think that E/F would have had a hard time convincing me to breaking up from that stalemate anyhow!

Cheers & thank you very much for an entertaining game!
