Spring, 1901: Good luck, everyone!
Spring, 1901: Good luck
Spring, 1903: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
Spring, 1903: Fuck | |
Spring, 1903: This really unbalances the game, doesn't it.
Autumn, 1903: Welcome, new Italy, and thank you for joining.
Autumn, 1903: Welcome indeed.
Autumn, 1903: Hello all.
Autumn, 1903: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
Autumn, 1903: Hello new Austria. Thanks for taking over.
Autumn, 1903: Oh I didn't even notice that happened. Yeah thanks for that given your position.
Autumn, 1903: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
Autumn, 1905: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
Autumn, 1905: Hello Italy #3!
Autumn, 1905: Well hello there
Autumn, 1905: I guess maybe I’m lucky #3?
Autumn, 1905: Not gonna lie it’s been a hot minute since I’ve played this game. Considering my lack of practice and my current position. I can say I’m not in a good place. But hopefully I can work with anyone that may want to work with me...
Spring, 1907: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
Spring, 1907: New France
Spring, 1907: Hey, thanks for joining. You don't often get to take over in first place!
Spring, 1907: Well "first place" is an illusion until the game is over! But I appreciate the welcome!
Autumn, 1907: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
Autumn, 1907: I would be VERY interested in seeing what the stats are are most abandoned countries. I feel like Italy is way up there.
Autumn, 1907: So we've had 3 Italys, 2 Frances, 2 Austrias.
Autumn, 1907: make that 4 Italys, cause I just took over
Autumn, 1907: Welcome Italy #4!
Autumn, 1907: I like this 12-hour phase length. This game has been going for 2 weeks, but it doesn't feel as plodding as many 24-hour games go.
Autumn, 1907: Yeah, 10-14 hours is my preferred game length for that reason. I'm on most of the day and check regularly on my phone so it's easy to respond to press quickly.
Spring, 1908: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
Spring, 1908: Hello everybody, Italy #5 here.
Spring, 1908: LOL. Thanks for taking over. I always appreciate these guys who take over unenviable positions. Its good for the community. Welcome!
Spring, 1908: Please stick around to the end, or at least more than the one turn the last few Italys have lasted.
Spring, 1908: No worrys, at least i will try ... 12h phase length is a new challenge for me, but there is not a lot i have to think about, so it should work :D
Spring, 1908: It's good practice! IMO it's the best way to play Dip. Things move quickly, you get to/have to check regularly. Games don't last for weeks and weeks etc.
Spring, 1908: OK, the turn resolved as we were speaking. I hereby propose: 1. All Turkish, Russian and French units hold in place, or give defensive support only, with the exception of whichever unit will be occupying Edi (to be determined between France and Russia). 2. Turkey, Russia and France all agree to forego any builds this year. 3. We all vote Draw in Spring 1909. Agree? |
|
Autumn, 1908: I vote in the affirmative
Autumn, 1908: Aside from not building new units, I fully agree. I'm pulling back, support holding, and occupying Edi (and the other English centers to get rid of pink :P) But if we all forego builds except 1 player, the other 2 will be at a disadvantage for a year trying to stop the solo. Right up until the draw France will prepared to defend our borders. The draw in Spring, after disbands is the plan for us as well. |
|
Autumn, 1908: Fair enough. We'll do our builds then, but the rest of the terms are now agreed by all. See you after builds.
Good game and well played. Glad we could recover the east-west relationship and come to a solid end game.
Good game, everyone. Protein, especially, that was one of the most solid alliances I've had in this game.
Each game is different. In this case, the Turkey-Russia alliance made perfect sense. I enjoyed this game very much. |
