Spring, 1901: Moderator: (goldfinger0303): Hi everyone, this is all set to go. As a reminder, the only way to score points in this tournament is through solos or board tops. Solos = 1 point Non-solo board tops = 0.1 points Draws (for everyone but the SC leader) = 0 points Updated scores for the tournament can be found on my latest forum post. |

Spring, 1901: Aww, someone left me a good luck message in my notes tab. Cheers! I think I'll need it :). I'm a little hectic for the next few hours but will get back to all of you shortly. |
|
Spring, 1901: Good luck to everyone, and especially to whoever initially drew Germany. You left me with not only a quote from one of the funniest movies of all time, but you somehow managed to read my mind about my opening moves! Most people don't recognize the genius of opening to Baltic, and it warms my heart to know there's a fellow revolutionary on this board :)
Spring, 1901: Hello and good luck to all! Sorry I didn't leave or receive a note or orders, but looking forward to the new game!
Autumn, 1902: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
Spring, 1903: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
Spring, 1903: Moderator: (goldfinger0303): I've noted the delay
Spring, 1903: I've noted the noting of the delay.
Spring, 1903: Likewise aware of it. Good work, Goldie, keep it up.
Spring, 1903: Moderator: (goldfinger0303): Sigh. I just want to let everyone else know that I'm watching. It also has drastically decreased the PMs I receive
Spring, 1903: I've noted your wistful watchfulness. If you're missing the PMs I'm sure we'd all be happy to send you some extras :)
Spring, 1903: Big brother Gold is /always/ watching.
Spring, 1903: 0.0 | |
Autumn, 1903: Well, since I'm clearly being ravaged by all of my neighbors and have little to no chance of staying alive, let alone winning, I guess it comes down to deciding which one I want to screw over the most . . .
Autumn, 1903: Moderator: (goldfinger0303): Paused for two days
Autumn, 1903: Moderator: (goldfinger0303): Unpaused and phase reset.
Spring, 1904: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
Spring, 1904: Moderator: (goldfinger0303): Paused through Sunday
Spring, 1904: Moderator: (goldfinger0303): Unpaused
Spring, 1904: Welcome back everyone! I hope you're all ok and staying healthy, especially whoever and whatever circumstance required the pause.
Spring, 1904: That was me, sorry everyone for the long pause. I'm doing okay, just had to deal with a few things that didn't leave me with any time for the game, and I hope everyone else is also staying safe. Looking forward to get back into things!
Autumn, 1904: Sorry all, it's been a busy couple days, I didn't want to pause us again and didn't think I'd need one, but I know I let my press lag a bit. I'll get back to everyone early this afternoon.
Autumn, 1904: Any objection to me taking the full 36 hours to retreat to Rumania?
Autumn, 1904: Sorry all, had a bit of a break to reassess the board. And just to save time on replying to everyone: Yes, I know, you guys were right and I shouldn't have been as trusting and I'm sorry. : P |
|
Spring, 1905: Moderator: (goldfinger0303): Hi everyone. I've received a pause request for a few days. This one is close enough that I won't reset when I unpause.
Spring, 1905: Moderator: (goldfinger0303): I'll unpause in a few hours. As Italy has readied, the phase should immediately process.
Autumn, 1905: Sorry for the delay, all. Been feeling a bit off colour for the last few days
Autumn, 1905: Good game everyone. It never really came together for me here. Good luck in the tournament
Autumn, 1905: Good luck in your other rounds, Italy.
Autumn, 1905: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
Autumn, 1905: Moderator: (goldfinger0303): Being that Italy caused this, I suppose there will be no objections to me forcing this through
Autumn, 1905: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
Autumn, 1906: I'm putting a message in because having the last one be the 'game extended' keeps making me have a moment of panic when I see it as the most recent message in global, even though I know it's from an earlier phase...
Autumn, 1906: Very kind of you, France :-)
Autumn, 1906: Autumn, 1905: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
Autumn, 1906: (mwahahaha!)
Autumn, 1906: Right, that's pretty much it folks. The south can be locked up tighter than a Scottish wallet outside of happy hour, so the draw's inevitable. The only question is whether you want to spend time trying to eliminate England, Russia, and France. Frankly I don't see the point. Some other games have apparently agreed pacts that keep the game going and throw a solo to someone depending on their chances of winning the tournament. It is an intriguing idea to which I say "not a bloody chance in hell" :). Well played all |
|
Autumn, 1906: Good game, all!
Autumn, 1906: Moderator: (goldfinger0303): Paused for two days
Autumn, 1906: Moderator: (goldfinger0303): Unpaused
Autumn, 1906: Thanks all, welcome back and sorry for the delay. I've been helping prep some stuff for my SO to be moving, and then a tree fell in my backyard and clipped the bedroom. Thankfully not too heavy, so no having to fix anything major and structural or replace the roof or anything. I appreciate the pause and patience. |
|
Autumn, 1906: And England, a belated good game and good luck in your other rounds.
Autumn, 1906: Thanks, you too France!
It is the win for Germany. No more concern.
Good game all! This was a fun one and I’ve learned a lot from it. I enjoyed playing with each of you. Good luck in the last couple rounds!
