11 Apr 20 UTC Spring, 1907: As one might wont to do during a pandemic lockdown, my wife decided that it is the BEST POSSIBLE time to re-paint the kitchen and the cupboards. So...
13 Apr 20 UTC Spring, 1907: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
13 Apr 20 UTC Spring, 1907: Moderator: (goldfinger0303): Sigh. I've been on this player for a while about entering orders. My sincerest apologies everyone
14 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1907: I think I chose the most vanilla set of moves. I probably should have maintained the support order for Tyrolia to Trieste, but...
15 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1907: There's a real prisoner's dilemma thing going on here, but it's just between myself and myself! :) I do have to say, thank you all for the lovely offers. All are being considered with equanamity.
17 Apr 20 UTC Spring, 1908: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
17 Apr 20 UTC Spring, 1908: That was NOT me; I just checked. My orders were in and saved. Poor goldie...this is happening in every single game I have been a part of.
17 Apr 20 UTC Spring, 1908: Was not me either
17 Apr 20 UTC Spring, 1908: Ive never played a game that missed so many turns before. This is the Masters Tournament. Whats going on
18 Apr 20 UTC Spring, 1908: Moderator: (goldfinger0303): :( I try guys. I'd be kicking people if they were consistently doing it, but it's pretty evenly distributed.
18 Apr 20 UTC Spring, 1908: :) You're a stalwart, goldfinger!!! This has been a pretty momentous organizational challenge.
18 Apr 20 UTC Spring, 1908: Yes indeed thanks Goldfinger
18 Apr 20 UTC Spring, 1908: This was me guys! Don't know how that happened. Apologies to all of you as well as Gold!
20 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1908: Good game Italy - it was really fun playing with you. You are a great player and clearly deserved a better result!
20 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1908: Well played Italy, sorry I couldn't help you more. I suggest we draw this now. I have the units to stop Turkey, and although I have openings on my German front, having had discussions with Turkey I am confident he will pull back so I can re allocate as needed to stop Germany. So I think this game is a draw.
20 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1908: Good game, Italy!
20 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1908: France is the only one who has played this game with any sense of decency (i.e. didn't fight me) so I say he deserves his draw!
20 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1908: 3 or 4 way my vote is in
21 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1908: Moderator: (goldfinger0303): Hi guys. I've received a pause request through Sunday for this game.
27 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1908: Moderator: (goldfinger0303): Unpaused
28 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1908: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
28 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1908: Ah, so you three DON'T want to see the 2 remaining Italian units destroyed! I'm touched.
28 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1908: Moderator: (goldfinger0303): Pausing while I look into this
30 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1908: Moderator: (goldfinger0303): Hi everyone. To give you all an idea of a timeline, the player who requested the pause has not yet returned. Given that the nature of request was stated to be covid-related, I'm going to give them a few more days, as they had some spare pause time anyways. If I don't hear by Sunday, I will look for a replacement.
30 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1908: i hope they are safe
30 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1908: if it is a key player (tur or ger), then maybe give them a bit longer?
30 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1908: if it is a key player (tur or ger), then maybe give them a bit longer?
30 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1908: It is not me
30 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1908: And yes, I agree if is a key player (no offense, Italy :)), I am fine waiting a bit longer as well.
06 May 20 UTC Autumn, 1908: Moderator: (goldfinger0303): Hi all,

Just checking in with everyone. The mod team and I have both attempted to contact the player, but haven't heard anything in response. If you're willing, I'll give it a few more days. But I'm eventually going to sub someone in no matter what.

Gold
06 May 20 UTC Autumn, 1908: I'm willing to wait a bit longer, but agreed, we will eventually have to sub someone in if there is continued silence
06 May 20 UTC Autumn, 1908: I'll sub...
06 May 20 UTC Autumn, 1908: Ok happy either way.
06 May 20 UTC Autumn, 1908: I was kidding about subbing; I think it would violate a rule. I do hope Turkey is ok.
10 May 20 UTC Autumn, 1908: Moderator: (goldfinger0303): Hi all. I will be making a substitution in the next 24 hours.
10 May 20 UTC Autumn, 1908: Can it be someone who loves the French?
11 May 20 UTC Autumn, 1908: Hello, sub here. Time to read through old press.
11 May 20 UTC Autumn, 1908: Moderator: (goldfinger0303): Phase reset
12 May 20 UTC Autumn, 1908: Welcome to the game Turkey.
13 May 20 UTC Spring, 1909: Here are my odds at this point:
German solo 1-2 on (i.e. v likely)
3 way draw 2-1
Turkey solo 25-1
France solo 50-1
15 May 20 UTC Autumn, 1909: okay i have changed my odds.
Turkey solo 1-2
3 way draw 5-1
Germany solo 15-1
France solo 100-1
15 May 20 UTC Autumn, 1909: all because germany supported a unit into Tuscany. Bad mistake.
16 May 20 UTC Guys I think I’m going to have to settle for the draw. Had I gotten Belgium like I’d hoped and gotten into Gal might be a different story, but as is with France throwing to Turkey and Turkey likely to gain several this year I don’t see a choice :-(
16 May 20 UTC I'm going one more turn then will draw if this doesn't work out.
17 May 20 UTC You might not get the choice to draw in one more turn. I think this is a fair place to draw it, well done all. Thanks for coming in new Italy
17 May 20 UTC Sorry new Turkey
17 May 20 UTC Good game all
17 May 20 UTC Yes a hard fought game, well played both. Thanks for stepping in Turkey.
17 May 20 UTC Sorry I wasn't part of the finish but thus far my most enjoyable game of the tournament. Good game!!!
17 May 20 UTC Bloody awful if you asked me. Congrats to the drawers.
