25 Sep 19 UTC Spring, 1906: Unpause
25 Sep 19 UTC Spring, 1906: Any way a mod could unpause this?
25 Sep 19 UTC Spring, 1906: I’ll message them
26 Sep 19 UTC Spring, 1906: Moderator: (Magnetic24): Game unpaused.
27 Sep 19 UTC Autumn, 1907: So we all know to team up against Germany, right? If everyone doesn't put aside differences and team up, Germany wins solo.

Turkey and Italy, don't take centers from each other, I'll do what I can to hang on in the north and slow them down.
27 Sep 19 UTC Autumn, 1907: Yeah we're on it.
27 Sep 19 UTC Autumn, 1907: yup, we have a plan. The draw is inevitable if we play it right.
27 Sep 19 UTC Autumn, 1907: Get rid of Austria and France and I’ll draw.
27 Sep 19 UTC Autumn, 1907: And yes. If you take Spain and Mars back (which is inevitable) I will no longer have units past the stalemate line, meaning a win is impossible as long as Italy and Turkey remain allied
27 Sep 19 UTC Spring, 1908: You know things are going well when you can do your planning on global.
27 Sep 19 UTC Spring, 1908: Is England in on the draw?
27 Sep 19 UTC Spring, 1908: In my humble opinion I believe everyone minus France and Austria should be on the draw.
27 Sep 19 UTC Spring, 1908: In my humble opinion I believe everyone minus France and Austria should be on the draw.
27 Sep 19 UTC Spring, 1908: Although if Austria retreats to Ukraine I'm more than open to giving him Moscow and keeping him in it.
28 Sep 19 UTC Spring, 1908: I would be fine with a 4-way draw. I would hope that the illogicality is seen in purposefully involving a 1SC country in a draw when it doesn’t affect the ability for another country to solo, however.
28 Sep 19 UTC Spring, 1908: i will do that
28 Sep 19 UTC Autumn, 1908: Germany, can you support Mid-Atlantic into Portugal so we can end this?
28 Sep 19 UTC Autumn, 1908: Yes
28 Sep 19 UTC Autumn, 1908: Let it be known that I’m an absolute idiot
28 Sep 19 UTC Autumn, 1908: I did support mid Atlantic in... however that was canceled
28 Sep 19 UTC Spring, 1909: Spain is once again supporting midatlantic into port
29 Sep 19 UTC Autumn, 1909: That went well! What's the next plan guys?
29 Sep 19 UTC Autumn, 1909: German victory it seems. Italy and Turkey can't communicate and refuse to just end the game.
29 Sep 19 UTC Autumn, 1909: I had the same thought. I was ready for a 4 way draw. I was... quite surprised to see this latest phase
29 Sep 19 UTC Autumn, 1909: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
29 Sep 19 UTC Autumn, 1909: hi New France for now
30 Sep 19 UTC Autumn, 1909: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
30 Sep 19 UTC Autumn, 1909: New-new France. Would love to live
30 Sep 19 UTC Autumn, 1909: Send me some good book recommendations and I'll consider it
30 Sep 19 UTC Autumn, 1909: Not sure what happened, but I guess Turkey Italy relations broke down to the point where each was fine with a German solo lol
30 Sep 19 UTC Autumn, 1909: @Germany Carry On by Rainbow Rowell, An Absolutely Remarkable Thing by Hank Green, and Dune by Frank Herbert
30 Sep 19 UTC Autumn, 1909: I'll have to read them to completion before deciding if they're good book options.
30 Sep 19 UTC Autumn, 1909: I really doubt you'll have time to read them and play Diplomacy at the same time. You should really just draw so you have the time
30 Sep 19 UTC Autumn, 1909: France makes an interesting point! Do you care more about reading, and your growth as a person? Or winning a game of Dip online?
30 Sep 19 UTC Autumn, 1909: I can’t speed up this game any more, I’ve put my orders in.
It would be nonsensical to draw, as:
1. There are two 1SC countries on the board
2. I could solo if Italy and Turkey continue their quarrel
3. Italy and Turkey seem unhappy with the board as it is, meaning they wouldn’t draw even if I did.

I think this game is just as ridiculous as any other experienced player would. There were obvious signs of a German solo, but nobody fought against it. So here we are, begging the 16 SC country to draw in hopes that the player is inexperienced.
30 Sep 19 UTC Autumn, 1909: Oh it's all a joke lol. The game's already over. Nothing can be done to prevent a solo at this point. You played very well and took over a rough position. Great job!
30 Sep 19 UTC Autumn, 1909: If Italy and Turkey work together, it's not over yet. Germany is guaranteed Liverpool and Moscow, but Spain and Warsaw are quite vulnerable, and Germany has neither fleets east of the strait, nor Portugal
01 Oct 19 UTC Spring, 1910: Yeah Italy and I aren't quarreling actually, and unless we screw up this should draw.
01 Oct 19 UTC Autumn, 1910: Can we just agree to a 3 way and be done with it? I’m fairly certain I won’t be able to solo, and if I did it would take another 3+ years.
01 Oct 19 UTC Autumn, 1910: I can certainly agree to a 4-way
01 Oct 19 UTC Autumn, 1910: I’m afraid I haven’t finished those books yet :/
01 Oct 19 UTC Autumn, 1910: :'(
02 Oct 19 UTC Hey, this is a guaranteed draw. Germany, you’re completely locked out of Marseilles/Spain/Portugal. There’s no way you can get in, and so even Moscow+Warsaw doesn’t get you to 18.
02 Oct 19 UTC Yes I believe you’re right, as I would need Moscow, Warsaw, Spain, and Portugal, which is impossible at this point. Well played, and congrats to France for the points, props for sticking around.
02 Oct 19 UTC Good game, I’m glad I jumped in and I feel that I learned a fair bit about gaining diplomatic leverage and the mechanics and technicality behind a solo. Thanks for the game!
02 Oct 19 UTC Holy shit I lived
Wed 02 Oct UTC I'm afraid so
Wed 02 Oct UTC Enjoy those books
Wed 02 Oct UTC I did start the Frank Herbert one, as I happened to have a copy. It’s a little slow, but I’m enjoying it
