22 Aug 19 UTC	There were very good conditions for Austria stabbing Italy. 1.Russia took Rum by fleet. Russia was not able to attack Ser. So I was able to ignore Russia. 2.Italy took Smy at Spring. Turkey was weaken by Italy and Italy was not able to build unit right then. I was able to stab Italy safely. 3.Italy opened Ven. I thought I would take whole Italian home SC quickly.

22 Aug 19 UTC	Balki, I wasn't trying to kill you after Autumn 07. In Autumn 07, I decided that in order to actually survive, I needed to try for Smy. It worked. I managed to extend my life for two years, in which I never moved aggressively against you. I am sorry for my role in your death, but by that point, it was about survival. Perhaps the more noble thing would have been just to die... but it was unlikely that you were going to survive more than a few years if I had not done that. I should not have opened Ven. That is my mistake. I don't do that anymore.
