31 Jul 19 UTC [Oz]:Shall we resign peace treaty if you let me keep Thai and Bombay?
31 Jul 19 UTC [Brazil]:I literally just woke up xd
31 Jul 19 UTC [Brazil]:Lol, he was right about Tugster though xd
31 Jul 19 UTC [Oz]:Wow how can you guess he is tugster? I am assuming he, not she
31 Jul 19 UTC [Kenya]:Lol
31 Jul 19 UTC [Kenya]:Now I know which non-Anon games to avaoid.
31 Jul 19 UTC [Oz]:Which ones to avoid?
31 Jul 19 UTC [Ghana]:Kenya, if you want to avoid playing with weak and feeble players, you have to avoid playing in games with yourself. Bwaaaaaa
31 Jul 19 UTC [Ghana]:9000 points, read em and weep people
31 Jul 19 UTC [Russia]:Wow, glad to know I got destroyed by really good players and not by embarrassingly bad ones.
31 Jul 19 UTC [Kenya]:The way you play I’m not surprised. @Oz I’m going to avoid all games with Tugster in them because I don’t really appreciate his attitude. I’m not a shabby player myself ya know. Especially given I only started playing 2 months ago.
31 Jul 19 UTC [Kenya]:Where as Tugster has been around for 2 years
31 Jul 19 UTC [Ghana]:Well, I only play anonymous games, Kenya, I will be on the lookout for beating your ass better next time. And then I will shove my attitude at you and pummel you.
31 Jul 19 UTC [Ghana]:Or you can play more with your good buddy Norman conquest!
31 Jul 19 UTC [USA]:LOLOL. I am a prophet when it comes to calling out Tugster :)
31 Jul 19 UTC [India]:Hmm less of a prophet and more like a semi-competent detective
31 Jul 19 UTC [USA]:Semi-competent, eh? That's your opinion, and you are entitled to it!
31 Jul 19 UTC [India]::p I'm just saying he doesn't make it very hard
31 Jul 19 UTC [USA]:Truuuuuuuuuue.
01 Aug 19 UTC [Kenya]:Nice
01 Aug 19 UTC [Kenya]:I won’t make it as easy though Tugster
01 Aug 19 UTC [Ghana]:Better to be a marked legendary player, than an anonymous mediocre boring player
01 Aug 19 UTC [USA]:Tugster don't play no shit.
01 Aug 19 UTC [Ghana]:So Kenya, write me a note 2 years from now when you hit 9,000 points loser boy. For some reason, I just can't imagine that ever happening.
01 Aug 19 UTC [Ghana]:I don't think you have the nerve to play in the 500 or 1000 point that games that I've played in.
01 Aug 19 UTC [Oz]:lets make peace, not war. it is for fun : )
01 Aug 19 UTC [Ghana]:and I just figured out why Kenya doesn't like my attitude, because my attitude is all about WINNING, something Kenya has never done.
01 Aug 19 UTC [Argentina]:He's like Trump
01 Aug 19 UTC [India]:Nah, Trump's the President. His ego has some justification. Tug meanwhile is bragging about how many imaginary internet points he's won over the years, and how proud he is of his username being known by a few dozen people as being vaguely associated with an ass
01 Aug 19 UTC [Kenya]:No, the attitude is how you see your own victory. You take the ability to ignore what other people might think (or, given that there are almost no ways for us to see what other people think, the human instinct to make up what other people might think and feel about our actions) as something to be proud of and flaunt it around.

Basically being a heartless monster, which Diplomacy seems to encourage, is not something to be proud of that Tugster seems to be proud of. Which actually makes sense because he sees that no-one else has the “guts” to do it. We all like to think that we have some scrap of humanity left in us while playing this game. When in fact, if we played selfishly then we would win more.
01 Aug 19 UTC [Brazil]:"So Kenya, write me a note 2 years from now when you hit 9,000 points loser boy. For some reason, I just can't imagine that ever happening." --> why noone likes him
01 Aug 19 UTC [India]:Idk about a heartless monster or loss of humanity. He's just a bit of an ass. And I mean, plenty of people can have a win rate equal to/better than Tug and not be like him
01 Aug 19 UTC [China]:It’s a game. And for the purpose of this (anonymous) game his name is not Tugster, it’s Ghana. Just because I play a game involving betrayal as a central mechanic, doesn’t mean that it reflects on who I am in real life. Same for Ghana. In this game, I cold-heartedly destroyed my once-ally India with no warning or provocation for my own selfish gain. I’m actually a nice person in real life though, I promise.

I mentioned at some point during the game, after I stabbed India, that the ideal game of Diplomacy should be played between people who know it that it is only a game. Who don’t get bent out of shape about it like Kenya is. Stab fast, forgive fast. Live by the sword, die by the sword. What does it matter? It’s only a game. Why u haf to be mad?

If someone has stabbed you and taken Thailand, but you are both still standing, there is nothing to stop you from forgiving each other (even if you no longer trust each other) to fight a stronger, more dangerous South America. Creating a beneficial relationship with someone who (perhaps rightly) mistrusts you is difficult, and annoying, but it can be done. And if it doesn’t work, well the worst that can happen is that you lose the game or some points. Big deal.

Europe, India the USA and whoever else wants to participate after being eliminated is welcome to, just don’t be salty. Is only game.

I’ve also never understood or cared about points on this site. Diplomacy is a great game. Don’t play it for points, play it for diplomacy.

Good game everyone.
01 Aug 19 UTC [China]:@Oz, if I seemed angry talking about the SCS, it was only a performance. I was never really mad. I believe that a bit of forceful diplomacy is sometimes useful. That’s all. You were a good ally for most of that game. Well done.
01 Aug 19 UTC [USA]:I don't think I was salty in the least bit. I was just saying I knew who Ghana was, and tried (and failed) to warn people most of the game. As much as I have a general disdain for Tugster, I always admit that he does know and understand Diplomacy, and his stalemates are always on point if people buy into them.
01 Aug 19 UTC [China]:I think that’s all my thoughts on the game. Everyone played well. I hope you all enjoyed it at least?
01 Aug 19 UTC [China]:Sorry, I didn’t mean that you in particular were salty. I was referring more to Europe.

Also, anonymous game. Trying to influence our dealings with Ghana based on the fact that he’s Tugster is not really fair to him.
01 Aug 19 UTC [USA]:All is fair in love and war... and Diplomacy.
01 Aug 19 UTC [China]:I for one have no idea who anyone on this site is and I’ve been here on and off since 2012 at least. So iI couldn’t care less.
01 Aug 19 UTC [China]:But the name ‘Tugster’ is not a piece of information that the players of this game were supposed to have access to. It was an anonymous game. That’s the point.
01 Aug 19 UTC [China]:Speculating on who certain players might be in an anonymous game is not cool.
01 Aug 19 UTC [India]:Actually, Idk about that. If you go to a masquerade ball, it's fun to speculate who's who. The point is you dont know for sure. I think its as legitimate as any other tactic. You could even say who you were if you wanted, try to convince people to trust you based off your "reputation", but I doubt itd work, since you could be lying
01 Aug 19 UTC [USA]:Bingo, bango, bongo.
01 Aug 19 UTC [Oz]:@ china or Luke Miller, well said abt the game. I am fine with your calmness or angry. I got thailand without asking you anyway. And i tried hard to destroy your burma ship. I did this to prevent your ship surrounding me. Would you have done the same if you are Oz?

I am a bit confused abt ghana keep saying i plan to go asia. Maybe it is to make sure china doesn't attack ghana.
01 Aug 19 UTC [Ghana]:Actually, I play the game for fun, but what I think is fun may be different than what you think is fun. I do things in this game that I would never do in real life, because I think it's fun, for example when I play a video game I shoot people in the head and sneak up behind him with a knife and kill them, which of course I don't do in real life, so in this game I like to be salty to weaker players because I enjoy watching them squirm, to me it's fun. To each his own.
01 Aug 19 UTC [Kenya]:I agree completely China
01 Aug 19 UTC [Kenya]:Yeah, that was exactly what I was saying
01 Aug 19 UTC [Kenya]:Ghana
01 Aug 19 UTC [Kenya]:It is different though, in this game you are dealing with real feelings, which, physiologically can be a very good thing, so actually I should be thanking you for giving me a way to have these feelings in a safe environment lol
01 Aug 19 UTC [Kenya]:“Safe”
