12 Apr 19 UTC Spring, 1901: Good luck everyone.
12 Apr 19 UTC Spring, 1901: Good luck!
13 Apr 19 UTC Autumn, 1901: Hey guys, new Italy here.
17 Apr 19 UTC Autumn, 1903: Hi New Italy
Good luck
Please ready up
19 Apr 19 UTC Autumn, 1904: Hoşçakalın arkadaşlar
25 Apr 19 UTC Spring, 1908: England, France, do you guys really want to slog this out? Wouldn’t it be easier to take a win and walk away? We would all come out ahead
25 Apr 19 UTC Spring, 1908: I went ahead and put in a draw vote
26 Apr 19 UTC Autumn, 1908: Yeah come guys lets draw right now!
26 Apr 19 UTC Autumn, 1908: You should have thought of this before you attacked me Austria.
26 Apr 19 UTC Autumn, 1908: Come on now fellas, lets all make friends
26 Apr 19 UTC Autumn, 1908: France this isn’t really a game where it is beneficial to hold grudges. If you want to slog it out we can go back and forth on the stalemate line for a while.
26 Apr 19 UTC Autumn, 1908: War is not a game Austria.
26 Apr 19 UTC Autumn, 1908: In War it is also not beneficial to hold grudges. The best choice is whatever benefits you most. By continuing to fight you are risking a certain gain for the hope of an uncertain one
26 Apr 19 UTC Spring, 1909: To the Austrian and Russian commanders
NUTS!
26 Apr 19 UTC Spring, 1909: Alright then. I guess we go back and forth on the stalemate line until you guys get bored.
28 Apr 19 UTC Autumn, 1909: France, do you need to pause?
29 Apr 19 UTC Autumn, 1910: offer of draw withdrawn
30 Apr 19 UTC Spring, 1911: We live in the Trench,
We die in the Trench...
30 Apr 19 UTC Spring, 1911: I think in the end you might regret fighting to the death over some perceived slight.
30 Apr 19 UTC Spring, 1911: I just want to play the game and not stop like a nerd.
30 Apr 19 UTC Spring, 1911: A big part of the game of diplomacy is the actual diplomacy including negotiating peace deals when it is advantageous
30 Apr 19 UTC Spring, 1911: It’s a game that most closely models realpolitik. As such all decisions should be based on what leaves you with the best opportunity to better your own position. When we offered a draw it was because it seemed like the board was mostly balanced one side or the other would have come out on top. Now it appears you are on the losing end and Russia and I are likely to be victorious.
30 Apr 19 UTC Spring, 1911: And me? ;)
30 Apr 19 UTC Spring, 1911: Oh Italy you're still playing? Haven't seen you make a move in the past few turns.
30 Apr 19 UTC Spring, 1911: And italy
30 Apr 19 UTC Spring, 1911: Since he has done an excellent job defending Naples
30 Apr 19 UTC Spring, 1911: I have been support holding Rome
30 Apr 19 UTC Spring, 1911: But you keep moving it
30 Apr 19 UTC Spring, 1911: I will hold Apulia instead
30 Apr 19 UTC Spring, 1911: Lets make a deal. If I'm on the losing side I demand my own total annihilation. If you are willing to talk I demand one total annihilation for one draw vote. Of the current players on the board I will cast one draw vote for one kill. Doesn't matter who it is or how it gets done.
30 Apr 19 UTC Spring, 1911: Will you assist with the annihilation of the target of our choosing?
30 Apr 19 UTC Autumn, 1911: If you want me to kill France to end this... uh, vendetta? I'll do whatever it takes to end this game. I would have thought you'd go with the simple kill and take Naples. That'd buy my draw vote.
01 May 19 UTC Autumn, 1911: 'For the Damaged Coda' plays as we enter the next phase.
01 May 19 UTC Autumn, 1911: Hey I'm a valuable ally
01 May 19 UTC Autumn, 1911: I don't understand why you'd want to leave the game so fast. It's fun. You guys are really lame. Britain roleplaying as an ally the whole game and then suddenly turns just to end the game. You should play like in real life instead of like it's on the internet.
01 May 19 UTC Autumn, 1911: I suppose I’m playing like it’s diplomacy not WWI
01 May 19 UTC Autumn, 1911: Backstabs and Betrayals should be expected in a game like this. A little sooner than planned but oh well.
01 May 19 UTC Spring, 1912: There should be more RP involved. Everyone just says, "oh yeah we'll ally" and then betrays you. If it was IRL like the game was meant to be played then nobody would trust you ever again. You aren't playing legit Diplomacy really.
01 May 19 UTC Spring, 1912: Oh well /shrug
01 May 19 UTC Spring, 1912: what is IRL
01 May 19 UTC Spring, 1912: When I’ve played IRL we’ve been even more underhanded. Photos or staged photos to facilitate stabs or sow discord. Different strokes I suppose.
01 May 19 UTC Spring, 1912: In real life
01 May 19 UTC Spring, 1912: Real or digital its all the same. I've been known IRL to be untrustworthy but a good sport. Online I haven't played enough to get a reputation, though some of my "enemies/allies" would consider playing with me again.
01 May 19 UTC Spring, 1912: I try to consider every game as independent and don’t carry any alliances or trust from one to the next. I’d be happy to play with any player I’ve played with in the past and would consider each of them a potential ally or foe.
03 May 19 UTC Spring, 1913: I don't speak French so... Auf wiedersehen Frenchman, 'twas an honor the peace for so long.
03 May 19 UTC Spring, 1913: When the French are dead I'll throw in my draw vote.
04 May 19 UTC Well played all...
04 May 19 UTC Woop woop! Thanks to Austria and Russia for being great allies, gg!!
04 May 19 UTC Gg
