I think this could have been a 3-way but that's not worth the extra hour+ of game time to me and presumably not to anyone else :p
11 Apr 19 UTC That was pretty long
11 Apr 19 UTC GG WP, was getting picked up from the library by a lyft so perfect timing haha. Enjoyed our cooperation while it lasted england, honestly you pullled me from nothing into this draw so I appreciate it

11 Apr 19 UTC Russia it felt like you were trying to screw us both honestly
11 Apr 19 UTC I didn't even want to attack you when I did, but Russia very astutely started ceding you centers in Austria to force my hand. I was hoping to reach Sevastopol before pulling the trigger but it wasn't in the cards.
11 Apr 19 UTC France, England literally saved you and there was nothing I could do but watch in horror as you slowly crept around through Tyrolia
11 Apr 19 UTC I like how it looked like I was just trying to bail you out when I absolutely intended to kill France first lol. But it was pretty obvious after Marseilles fell to Italy and France attacked Munich that if I had followed through, France was out immediately and I wasn't getting anything
11 Apr 19 UTC I should clarify that, I knew it was bad news for Italy to get Iberia and Marseilles that quickly, I figured Germany would retaliate for the strike into Munich, and then to top everything off Germany decides to go for Heligoland too.
11 Apr 19 UTC I gotta say though, I'm glad it worked out that way, because that was one of the best alliances I've seen in any game, let alone no press!
11 Apr 19 UTC Yeah I figured that because everyone went for me so fast it helped you more for me to be able to hold back italy while you worked on Germany. But yeah damn we really did manage to stay on the same page aside from a few instances all the way up to the stab. If only there had been a simpler way to split the map we could have possibly kept going. Overall though very happy
11 Apr 19 UTC I'm proud of my contribution towards breaking up that alliance! Fighting in the North would have been futile and would have given you two a common enemy. Only the Balkans were defensible.
11 Apr 19 UTC If the game continued, I was going to build F Sev in hopes of a 3 way.
11 Apr 19 UTC If you did that i would've just attacked France and fucked him up and give England the solo
11 Apr 19 UTC Russia, I am curious about one play. At the end of 1903 you built F St.P (nc) and then moved your fleets to Nwy/SKA in Spring 04. But in Autumn 04 you attacked Denmark and really didn't do anything to be threatening to me. Were you "faking" an attack on the North Sea to try to get Denmark instead, or was that a prelude to a real naval battle in the next couple of years (with or without Denmark in your hands)?
It occurred to me after the attack on Denmark that you might have just been faking a threat, and I thought I was clear to build an army and invade Germany, which turned out to be the first of two key mistakes that could have cost me everything if things had broken a bit differently.
11 Apr 19 UTC I'm not convinced that would have thrown the game. Warsaw would soon fall and England would have had trouble crossing the line again. I think F Sev would have been necessary to avoid being the eventual victim.

Italy, our interaction in the early and mid game was frustrating for me because you kept switching between supporting and attacking Austria. All I wanted to do was split his lands with you and face EF together. In the endgame, I think my moves South were strategically necessary, but I'll admit there was a bit of "I refuse to let Italy get more points than me out of this" mixed in.

I hope future games will have less bad blood.
11 Apr 19 UTC England, I built the fleet in '03 to counter your navies since France wasn't in a position to keep them occupied elsewhere. There was no invasion plan. I don't remember why I attacked Denmark. I should have been helping Germany there since you and France already looked friendly. Bad play by me.
