30 Mar 19 UTC Autumn, 1996: He still has to contain enemy forces in the center of his land, rather than fighting forces on his border.
31 Mar 19 UTC Spring, 1997: Announcement to the UN: this There have been attempted peaces between Italy Germany and I. Italy claimed Germany had negotiated peace and betrayed that peace. I had early before so I attacked Germany. Germany claimed that while he and I were at peace, he never promised peace to Italy, and has always been against Italy. I will be giving Austria to Germany as they have requested and then proclaim peace to both nations. I want this to be public, and I don't know which nations speaks the truth. If any nation wants to plead their case before the UN, they may.
31 Mar 19 UTC Spring, 1997: I would also like to publicly abolish my peace with Ukraine.
31 Mar 19 UTC Spring, 1997: Thank you for your public declaration. As I have already told Poland, Italy and I discussed working together with Poland or Spain to launch an invasion of France, but negotiations were inconclusive, and no agreement or alliance was reached.
31 Mar 19 UTC Spring, 1997: Isn't the UN suppose to keep a major war from happening?
31 Mar 19 UTC Spring, 1997: So if you declare to the UN that you are do such said actions the UN would need to send peacekeepers to holt your actions
31 Mar 19 UTC Spring, 1997: The pact is that if a country that isn't in the UN attacks one that is, all of the nations in the UN are supposed to fight back against the offending country. For two countries within the UN the idea is that all disputes are settled without war by the counsel. In this case, if two countries decide to go to war, the UN I think would act like the teacher on the playground and break them up or threaten them.
31 Mar 19 UTC Spring, 1997: As for the international tea lol, look between spring and Autumn of 1994, where I could have supported Venice into Austria with Switzerland and Germany could not have stopped me, but in compliance with our pact, I didn't. Germany's moves seem to have been remarkably docile towards a nation that it "has always been against" until it betrayed me. Why did he never support hold one of his units on my border? Germany's moves demonstrate the peace it had with me, and the fact that I left myself open to its attack demonstrate the peace that I had with it. This is remarkably strong evidence for my case, and it is strange to me, Poland, that you are overlooking it. Although in the pursuit of peace Italy is happy with Poland's current Diplomatic choices, it will be difficult to deal with a stronger Germany, who has demonstrated its intent at destruction.
31 Mar 19 UTC Spring, 1997: Sorry for remaining in Austria. I attempted to move out,but didn't realize Podolia was a contentious territory.
01 Apr 19 UTC Spring, 1997: damn it....
03 Apr 19 UTC Autumn, 1997: Your apologies regarding Austria are understood and accepted, Poland.

Italy, no pact of alliance exists or has existed between us. If my moves seemed to indicate friendship, this was purely through coincidence.

If you can provide proof from our private press in which we agreed to an alliance, I invite you to copy and paste it here, for all to see.
04 Apr 19 UTC Spring, 1998: Don’t do it
04 Apr 19 UTC Spring, 1998: No, really, I beg you to, Italy.

Oh wait, you can't.

Because it didnt happen.
04 Apr 19 UTC Spring, 1998: Is that even allowed?
04 Apr 19 UTC Spring, 1998: To copy from private chat.
04 Apr 19 UTC Spring, 1998: Also, Italy could make up some dialogue and you could deny it, but you couldn't prove it was fake, so not your best idea.
04 Apr 19 UTC Spring, 1998: It could be. My ideas are not always the brightest. But still, I want to see if Italy has the guts to lie. More than they already have, I mean.

As far as legality of it goes, I know it is allowed on Backstabbr (or, at least, it's been done in Backstabbr games I've played.)
04 Apr 19 UTC Spring, 1998: Sorry, I'd have copied and pasted immediately but it's a waste of all of our time since Germany would deny anything they didn't like. I also don't think that any of the other players really care, so there's not much reason to debate it in chat. I showed the round where I would have taken Austria if we didn't have an alliance, or at the very least a peace pact, if anyone cares they can decide for themselves. I for one, am happy to consume Germany and not waste my time anymore on this matter.
04 Apr 19 UTC Spring, 1998: Sounds good to me!
06 Apr 19 UTC Autumn, 1998: Italy, are you declaring war on me?
06 Apr 19 UTC Autumn, 1998: howamistillalive
06 Apr 19 UTC Autumn, 1998: Not if you don't want me to
06 Apr 19 UTC Autumn, 1998: Then why did you take Hungary?
06 Apr 19 UTC Autumn, 1998: Mamma mia!
:hangs on to a thread:
06 Apr 19 UTC Autumn, 1998: To be completely honest, because it looked kind of lonely.
08 Apr 19 UTC Spring, 1999: Announcing the completely peaceful takeover of Berlin. (Oddly enough, this is not sarcasm)
08 Apr 19 UTC Spring, 1999: I have to admit, while your relationship with Germany is very odd, I do admire it.
08 Apr 19 UTC Spring, 1999: https://webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=239621
11 Apr 19 UTC Autumn, 1999: Hi everybody, I think we (you) should finish Spain and Poland and then we draw. What do you think?
11 Apr 19 UTC Autumn, 1999: Certainly tempting
12 Apr 19 UTC Spring, 2000: This is a formal declaration of war on Italy.
12 Apr 19 UTC Spring, 2000: But not on Russia?
12 Apr 19 UTC Spring, 2000: There goes Italy with the solo.
12 Apr 19 UTC Spring, 2000: Sure, I declare war on Spain and Egypt. (Clearly I am dead any way this goes.
13 Apr 19 UTC Spring, 2000: But not Russia, who is openly and heavily invading you?
13 Apr 19 UTC Spring, 2000: Sure, war on Russia! My point is both of you want me dead so it doesn't matter, I have not good arguments on why I should live, and I can't overpower one of both of you. I was trying to take on one of them, but that didn't work.
14 Apr 19 UTC Autumn, 2000: 5 SCs in one year, not bad at all Russia
17 Apr 19 UTC Autumn, 2001: All I have to say is y’all better defeat Spain before me
17 Apr 19 UTC Autumn, 2001: I'm honestly not sure if we'll be able to
17 Apr 19 UTC Autumn, 2001: Well I trust you’ll do your best
18 Apr 19 UTC Autumn, 2001: You have my word
20 Apr 19 UTC Spring, 2002: Well sorry I forgot to make moves that round but I guess it doesn’t make a huge difference
23 Apr 19 UTC Autumn, 2003: Hey let me take Iceland. Russia I’ll kindly ask you to not move to North Atlantic
24 Apr 19 UTC Autumn, 2003: Hey, me again, though I'm long dead. Just wanted to cheer on Egypt a bit. Go Egypt!
24 Apr 19 UTC Autumn, 2003: Thank you, that’s very nice. This game is unusual. All I did was beating Turkey, now I wait for the draw.
28 Apr 19 UTC Italy what keeps you from drawing?
28 Apr 19 UTC He wants to solo by going after you.
28 Apr 19 UTC Nah haha I just hadn't looked at the game since last phase
28 Apr 19 UTC GG all
28 Apr 19 UTC Well played
