08 Jan 19 UTC Spring, 1901: For example, in gunboat games, Austria could issue F(Tri) sup A(Ven) to Smyrna to offer Italy an alliance. This seems impossible on this website.
08 Jan 19 UTC Spring, 1901: Look, i never heart of something like 'illegal moves', but because the moves are 'illegal', it sounds logical to me that they are forbidden.

But maybe i'm wrong, i'm not a very experienced diplomacy player
08 Jan 19 UTC Spring, 1901: Well, you've heard of them now.
08 Jan 19 UTC Spring, 1901: Haha yess
08 Jan 19 UTC Spring, 1901: No it doesn’t.

It filters to only show all the valid moves in the drop down menus.

You have to do a valid supporting move to show intent in GB. It is also useful to check the Orders list for the full list of moves as the diagram only shows the support moves that occurred. Ie, it wont show you support holding someone if they moved away.
08 Jan 19 UTC Spring, 1901: Exactly. So it's a little different than the board game, and PlayDiplomacy in that way. It also seems like anonymous public press messages are impossible, unless I'm missing something. Can we send group private messages? Because that also has strategic value.
08 Jan 19 UTC Spring, 1901: Group private messages are not possible. There is no option to create groups.
08 Jan 19 UTC Spring, 1901: All messages will show what country sent them.

You can select anonymous players when creating the game, which just hides the players name, but still shows which country said what.
08 Jan 19 UTC Spring, 1901: Yes, that is true
09 Jan 19 UTC Spring, 1901: In case you were unsure,

The "grey tick" in the table below means your moves are saved for the next phase when the timer expires.

The "green tick" means you're pressed Ready and are happy to advance to the next phase if everyone else has pressed Ready.
15 Jan 19 UTC Autumn, 1903: Oh dang, I negotiated my moves but didn't enter them! Sorry!
16 Jan 19 UTC Autumn, 1903: I just won my first webdip game... as Italy no less! Looks like I don't need any more practice...
16 Jan 19 UTC Autumn, 1903: Congrats!!!
17 Jan 19 UTC Spring, 1904: Nope you probably don’t need any more practice
18 Jan 19 UTC Autumn, 1904: Ciao ya'll

LOL
20 Jan 19 UTC Autumn, 1905: Hello everyone, next week i have exams on school and i need to study very hard so i do not fail them! I do not need a pause, but it can be that i respond later to press.

Kind regards, Russia
20 Jan 19 UTC Autumn, 1905: Fine with me if you need a pause & delayed communications are never a problem. Best of luck in those exams. I just about remember those days (oh so long ago) when evil minded professors cooked up amusing questions for undergraduates to enjoy.

Best Regards Turkey
20 Jan 19 UTC Autumn, 1905: Thank you!
20 Jan 19 UTC Autumn, 1905: I agree with Turkey. With 24 hour terms, delayed comms aren't an issue. And if it still feels overwhelming, I wouldn't mind pausing. I graduated last year (and was playing Diplomacy regularly at the time) so I remember that pressure. Good luck and speak up if you can't deal with both. This game is only for practice after all.
21 Jan 19 UTC Autumn, 1905: Thank you for the understanding :)
21 Jan 19 UTC Autumn, 1905: Yeah just let us know :)
21 Jan 19 UTC Autumn, 1905: Wow, I though we were paused! I guess not.
21 Jan 19 UTC Autumn, 1905: Super confused now
22 Jan 19 UTC Spring, 1906: He didn't say he wanted a pause, just that he may not respond as much or may need one later.

For a pause to happen everyone has to vote for a Pause using the vote buttons below.
Same with Draw/Cancel
22 Jan 19 UTC Spring, 1906: Or you can email the mods if you want to pause.
28 Jan 19 UTC Autumn, 1907: Can someone explain how the draw proposal works???
28 Jan 19 UTC Autumn, 1907: In this game, if you press draw, it will show under your name in the table below.

If everyone else had voted draw, it will be a draw.

In other games, you can set draw votes to hidden, so you don't know what others have done.
28 Jan 19 UTC Spring, 1908: So this is currently a 5 way draw that 3 have voted on... got it.
28 Jan 19 UTC Spring, 1908: Thanks
28 Jan 19 UTC Spring, 1908: Yeah, surprisingly all draws on webDip appear to be the traditional DIAS. Draw proposals are not time limited (as per PlayDip) & draw votes can be retracted (unlike PlayDip). All good to learn ahead of ODC.

This one is a solid 5-way. Why not vote for it & where nearly done:-)
29 Jan 19 UTC Spring, 1908: Yes - draw accepted GG everyone!
29 Jan 19 UTC Spring, 1908: Agreed GG all.
29 Jan 19 UTC Spring, 1908: It's not a draw yet... waiting for Germany.
29 Jan 19 UTC Spring, 1908: Oh. Ok then.
29 Jan 19 UTC Spring, 1908: :-)
That was a bit predictable...
29 Jan 19 UTC Spring, 1908: Ah Germany, you were warned about France...
29 Jan 19 UTC Autumn, 1908: But no-one warned me!
29 Jan 19 UTC Autumn, 1908: I think we all could see that coming...
29 Jan 19 UTC Autumn, 1908: I have to disagree France. I’ve warned you many many times over the years about stabbing for the solo. It’s the listening part that causes these problems:-)
29 Jan 19 UTC Autumn, 1908: Lol
30 Jan 19 UTC Autumn, 1908: I accepted the draw. Game should be over!
30 Jan 19 UTC Autumn, 1908: But Germany didn't and is paying the price!

And now you've withdrawn it so we know your intentions :)
30 Jan 19 UTC Autumn, 1908: France, everyone alive should accept the draw. Germany did not. So there is no draw!
31 Jan 19 UTC Autumn, 1908: WOOHOO, EXAMS ARE DONE FOR NOW
31 Jan 19 UTC Autumn, 1908: WOOHOO, FIGHT THE FRENCH!
31 Jan 19 UTC Autumn, 1908: WOOHOO
01 Feb 19 UTC Draw France? ;)
01 Feb 19 UTC Yeah that’ll do - GG all!
01 Feb 19 UTC Good game all.
01 Feb 19 UTC Good game!
