30 Jan 19 UTC gg!
30 Jan 19 UTC Good job sticking together, Austria and Italy. There were moments were I dreamed of a solo, but I never had a real chance.
30 Jan 19 UTC At the beginning I thought that finally there's a chance for one gunboat game without the "England and France fight it out while someone else takes the win" usual and boring routine.

Unfortunately, France took my peaceful approach as a weakness, chose to build a fleet in Brest, and doomed us both.

I'm just happy I outlasted France.
30 Jan 19 UTC TheCzech, I guess you deliberately chose not to help me in 1902 after I gave you Sweden and Norway. We could've gone far together, but instead you made an enemy for the rest of the game.
30 Jan 19 UTC My only hope was a serious German solo win attempt. I held out for a long damn time but I wouldn't be able to last forever. Good game.

Man I got taken out by some of my favorite players too.
30 Jan 19 UTC We had the same goal, but after I lost Warsaw I couldn't find a way through.
30 Jan 19 UTC Good game, all. England, I share your view of the dull France/England conflict. I built two fleets that turn, wanting to send it south to take on Italy. But you built a fleet in London, not Edinburgh, which in most games I have seen means going after France. Misunderstanding is the downside of a gunboat game. C’est la vie.
30 Jan 19 UTC Actually sword, I had no intention of killing you until you took Sevastopol in 1909 and made me disband an Army on the German front so you could build a worthless fleet in the south, after that turkey was a permanent liability, prior to that I was going to let you live, had you just left me alone.
30 Jan 19 UTC I will take your word for it that you really didn’t intend to kill me, but your moves didn’t have any hint that you were going to stop attacking me. I tried to weaken you as much as possible to save my skin.
30 Jan 19 UTC prior to your taking Sevastopol, I was just trying to keep you pinned down so you couldn't hurt me.
30 Jan 19 UTC spring 1908, I actually moved away from you.
30 Jan 19 UTC fall, I mean
30 Jan 19 UTC Yeah I get you. You had to back up to fight Italy though. I took the moment as my last chance to secure my position somehow; not generosity from you. It was really hard to imagine that I would have made it into the draw with 3 centers.
