22 Jan 19 UTC Good game
22 Jan 19 UTC Thanks for the Draw
22 Jan 19 UTC Well played all!

I knew the solo would be a long shot, but I had to try. I debated the solo vs slimming the draw. Once I committed to the solo, I figured there was no eliminating anymore.
22 Jan 19 UTC well, of course you could have very easily pulled back to another line, there are many lines behind the one you are at now, and had you done this the Germany and Italy would be gone. For my part, the draw vote was early. The very easiest one, take Stp, give up Tunis and pull back past Gibraltar, surely turkey/Russia would have killed Italy had you done this. The same could have been done in Germany
22 Jan 19 UTC gg and good defense Italy
22 Jan 19 UTC @All: I have a question.

What is the consensus on cutting the draw? Would you have pulled back if you were me? The quality play of Germany and Italy went a long way to prevent the solo. Do they deserve a share of the draw?
22 Jan 19 UTC It is my opinion that the number in the draw doesn't matter too much, except in cases of tournaments. I usually do eliminate unnecessary countries. In this game, I would think that I am the unnecessary one, but if I were Russia and Turkey, I would not touch Germany. Munich is the real stalemate. If you had Munich you would win, if not you can't. The Med is locked up, and you could easily move back and they could remove me. I don't see a way of doing that with Germany.
22 Jan 19 UTC So...I guess I am saying, you should probably have eliminated me. It doesn't really change much. Obviously, if Russia felt strongly about me being remove, they would not have voted to draw.
22 Jan 19 UTC oh, and thanks Turkey
22 Jan 19 UTC The number is the draw matters a great deal if you want to grow your points, it makes a huge difference. Agree with the whole bit on Germany, once Italy failed to hold Tunis (by the way I offered you Venice twice to build the critical addition fleet). If you had taken Venice at the right moment, then TYS and Tunis could have been held, which would have made Munich ad Berlin irrelevant. Then Italy would have been critical to save and Germany expendable, once Tunis was lost it reversed to make Italy irrelevant and Germany critical.
