01 Nov 18 UTC Spring, 1909: just to throw some fuel on the fire: my retreat is in a readied. :-)
01 Nov 18 UTC Spring, 1909: Thanks for stepping in, new Austria.
01 Nov 18 UTC Spring, 1909: yw
01 Nov 18 UTC Spring, 1909: Thanks Austria :)
01 Nov 18 UTC Spring, 1909: My pleasure (hopefully)
02 Nov 18 UTC Spring, 1909: Hi everyone, I know I've already asked for a pause in this game. I'm going away this weekend and won't have cellphone coverage. Can we pause asap until Sunday afternoon NZ time? Thanks, it'll give Austria some time to sort out the mess too :)
02 Nov 18 UTC Spring, 1909: Pause works for me, too: going to the Carnage Tournament this weekend (Killington, VT).
02 Nov 18 UTC Spring, 1909: Haha sounds like fun :)
02 Nov 18 UTC Spring, 1909: No problemo
03 Nov 18 UTC Spring, 1909: By the by, everyone should vote "Unpause" now so that France can unpause the game with just their vote when they return.
04 Nov 18 UTC Spring, 1909: Back, thanks everyone
09 Nov 18 UTC Autumn, 1910: Am I right in saying I think we've shut down Italy? My draw votes down
09 Nov 18 UTC Autumn, 1910: Humph.
09 Nov 18 UTC Autumn, 1910: I'm still impressed italy you played phenomenally
11 Nov 18 UTC Autumn, 1911: Come pn Italy Chuck down the draw :)
12 Nov 18 UTC Spring, 1912: This is from the site rules:
---------------------------------
Drawing Games

We do not draw any games due to cheating. We will only force games to draw if they have been at a stalemate for at least two years with no SC's changing hands and no possible sign of a breakthrough. If alerted to such a scenario; we will email the player(s) holding the game up and ask them how they plan to break through. If we deem their plan to be unrealistic, or it includes hoping for misorders or for players to miss phases, then we may force a game to draw.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Moderators have been notified. (The last centers to change hands were 2 years ago - Paris and Ankara, Spring 1910.)
13 Nov 18 UTC Spring, 1912: We had that covered if only France pitched in. Oh, well - that was a great game, Italy. Such a fun battle, and so much fun working with England, Russia, and even France (up to that last move, anyways. lol) I look forward to playing with you all again!!
13 Nov 18 UTC Spring, 1912: Austria that's on you
13 Nov 18 UTC Spring, 1912: I had it planned out and then you sent out a second message, admittedly none of them would've ended up achieving anything, but regardless u can't pin it on me
13 Nov 18 UTC Spring, 1912: Umm why are mods involved?
13 Nov 18 UTC Spring, 1912: They really don't need to be
13 Nov 18 UTC Spring, 1912: And actually mine would've worked, with three units we would've bounced tyr
13 Nov 18 UTC Spring, 1912: Boh vie mun, so Austria I am not taking the blame
13 Nov 18 UTC Spring, 1912: Gg Italy u deserved this game regardless you played incredubly well :)
13 Nov 18 UTC Spring, 1912: I'm sorry I didn't have the time to spend forcing everyone to do my moves Austria, I'm not sure why u couldn't give up control for the one turn, I wasn't active as I had a maths exam (which I did well in so yay :) ) anyway gg everyone, shoutouts especially to Italy, England and Russia, it was fun playing with you and I rate almost all the players on the board (with the exception of Germany and based on the last set of press both Austrias) the first Austria and Germany (from memory) well done on pissing everyone off. The second Austria, u came in and actually took control whih was a good thing, however after missing the tyr thing and then when my move would've worked fine at defending (which was the goal) u decide to fuck everyone over by sending mixed messages and then blame it on me cos u can't give up control.
Gg again to Italy England and Russia, id be keen to play another game with you guys :)
13 Nov 18 UTC Autumn, 1912: Italy attacked Budapest so that support was cut. You would have attacked Trieste with only Vienna's support and Italy would still have taken Tyrolia since he attacked with 2 supports. You do see that, right?

And even if your plan had worked Italy would have bombarded Trieste the very next move and disbanded your army. It was a plan without any short term or long term strategy, just to take Trieste for one move at best, and it would have cost you your forward army.

If you have a few minutes please review my press regarding this last move. My messages were very clear as to the obvious problems with your plan and the obvious tactic we needed to take against the obvious move Italy was going to try.

I'm sorry you didn't have time to keep up, but I am glad to see that you did well on your exam. This is just a game but that is real life.

And as long as we're sharing, I'm 63 and retired and spend a LOT of time looking at what might happen. With the board game at home I can replicate our game and do 'what if' scenarios as many moves ahead as I care to. And if I see something when I do that I think it's probably a good idea for me to share that with my allies. Your plan was doomed even in the best case scenario: I felt obligated to you and our friends in England and Russia to get us all to pull in a different direction. It would have been irresponsible for me to do anything else.
13 Nov 18 UTC Autumn, 1912: p.s. I didn't actually notify the mods. As I mentioned in my press to you that was just a smokescreen.
14 Nov 18 UTC Autumn, 1912: Omg, I NMR'd I'm so sorry... Thats embarrassing
14 Nov 18 UTC Autumn, 1912: I thought I put in moves I must have not :/
14 Nov 18 UTC Autumn, 1912: That said... I don't think it would've affected anything if I had moved
14 Nov 18 UTC Autumn, 1912: And I see my mistake with the moves, I got micmxed up between boh and bud and tri and tyr, it should've been double support to tyr, and bud supported tyr to tri
14 Nov 18 UTC Autumn, 1912: But I still think Austria putting the blame on to me not Cooperating is completely unfair given it was him who caused miscommunication, If he pointed out that one mistake, then that would've been fine, but changing the plan entirely then blaming me? Rly?
14 Nov 18 UTC Autumn, 1912: Can I finally say go to Italy?
14 Nov 18 UTC Autumn, 1912: Gg*
14 Nov 18 UTC Spring, 1913: Smooth move, France
14 Nov 18 UTC Spring, 1913: Hahaha shaddup :p
15 Nov 18 UTC Spring, 1913: uh, these are the moves you suggested. I don't see the mixup you referred to ...
NAO to MAO
IRISH sea support that
Channel support bel to pic
Ruhr to mun
Mun to tyr w support from boh
Hol to ruhr
Tyr to tri with support from vie and bud
Gal and ukr hold rum
Most hold sev
15 Nov 18 UTC I'll ready up.
15 Nov 18 UTC Should've been mun to tyr with boh and vie, with the tyr and tri and boh aand bud I was just refering to different things thinking hey we're right, I didn't swap I just added a support to the wrong place
16 Nov 18 UTC Good game all. This was a fun one!
16 Nov 18 UTC Good game everyone! Thanks for playing. Russia and England, those mid-game campaigns - '04 through '08 - were some of the most thrilling Diplomacy I've ever played.
16 Nov 18 UTC Good game, all.
16 Nov 18 UTC Good game!
16 Nov 18 UTC Good game everyone, I really enjoyed this game :)
