15 Oct 18 UTC wp, Josemurc.
15 Oct 18 UTC The Austrian suicide into Bulgaria was too much to overcome for me. I considered defending against it, but hoped my attempts to keep him alive would count for something.
15 Oct 18 UTC YOu did more than you could do.
15 Oct 18 UTC I did enjoy my dying fight ;-)
15 Oct 18 UTC With the greatest of respect Turkey I feel that given the positioning of France you might have perceived the Italian danger a tad earlier
15 Oct 18 UTC So very easy to have stopped this solo with correct end game play by France. Turkish fleet should have never entered MAO in the first place and even after, all he has to do is ignore it. Stop the Italian solo first, deal with Turkish fleet later.
15 Oct 18 UTC collapsing like a maniac on a lone fleet in Liverpool certainly didn't stop the Italian solo.
15 Oct 18 UTC Good game Italy. Turkey moving to MAO and Germany wanting to continue to fight me instead of moving armies south against you made the win inevitable for you.
15 Oct 18 UTC Germany having all your armies on my border and not moving them south didn't stop the solo either....
15 Oct 18 UTC is there where you blame me for all your bad decisions?
15 Oct 18 UTC The German lines are held against Italy. The French ones were not. You wrote those orders. You made North Sea a priority instead of MAO and Spain.
15 Oct 18 UTC Please inform me of all my bad decisions.
15 Oct 18 UTC I made North Sea a priority over MAO because you were attacking it. If you wanted me to stop Italy, WHY did you keep attacking me.
15 Oct 18 UTC I never could have stopped his fleets with a rogue Turkish fleet going for me instead of Italy and a German set on attacking me as well.
15 Oct 18 UTC go look at the spring of 1908.

The correct orders in spring of 1908 to guard against a Turkish fleet going rogue and the German land and naval front are:

MAO - Spain
Channel - MAO
All armies support hold
Make a power of 3 attack on North, not a power of 4 attack.

a power of 3 attack defends North Sea, but does not take it, it stops me from taking it.

By going at North Sea with 4, you are aggressively attacking, while ignoring other threats. Germany is the one defending. North sea is needed to kill Germany, but is not needed to stop an Italian solo or a rogue Turkish fleet.

It's an error of setting priorities.

I'll stop, lest I be accused of lecturing! but calmly go look at spring of 1908 and look at it from a neutral perspective, the correct moves were very, very easy to do.
15 Oct 18 UTC Hey, @England. In spring of 1906, when I dislodged you from North Sea, I was coming to help you, not to attack you. I knew France was bringing up more fleets, and you needed more defense, so you bounced Edinburgh, and I dislodged you , hoping you would go to Norwegian. Then my north supports hold London and your Norwegian bounces Edinburgh again. I was actuality coming to help you, I had been supporting Belgium to hold for many turns, and in fact supported it to hold that turn as well as a signal to you that I was coming to help, not to attack. But when you retreated to Skag, if was a suicide move, no hope to defend you anymore and everyone killed you.
15 Oct 18 UTC back to @France. And in spring of 1909, after he went to NAO, just ignore him. Let him take Liverpool, do nothing against him. shift your forces to defend against Italy, and then go back later to kill Turkey, after you have blocked up Gibraltar.
15 Oct 18 UTC Yes I could have done some things differently, but you didn't help the situation either. If you wanted me to focus on defending against an Italian solo in Spring 1908, then you knew he was a threat. Munich to Tyrolia that turn would have put a huge amount of pressure on him. It took you 4 turns after that before you finally made any sort of move against him. I even gave Norway a support hold in Spring 1909 to show that I wanted peace with you and for you to focus on Italy.
15 Oct 18 UTC perhaps so. but if there's any take away, never, ever, let units go rogue, that's why after England retreated to Skag, every move of mine was designed to kill him. And you took Belgium, secured Norwegian and continued to press on North while I killed him, but I made killing him the priority not you. I let you do whatever you wanted, because I knew my game was over as long as that one British fleet lived. just like stopping a Turkish fleet getting into MAO should have been so far on top of your priorities, because rogue units consume you. It took me 5 or 6 units all working together to kill one, that's the way rogue units behind your lines are, never let them get there,

So sure, I could have went to Tyrolia and you and I could have attacked each other more or less or whatever, but letting the Turkish fleet slip by was the big game ender.
