23 Aug 18 UTC Spring, 2003: [Western-Canada]:Thank you, Pacific-Russia.
23 Aug 18 UTC Spring, 2003: [Brazil]:a bit misunderstanding, so np
24 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2003: [Western-Canada]:So... Hello everybody. I have a very large favour to ask of you all. Between the 26th and the 4th Semptember, I will be travelling. I'd be grateful if we could pause the game while I am away.
Sincerely,
Western-Canada

P.S. I could drop out of the game, but my reliability rating is already upsettingly low, so I would prefer to avoid an NMR. If anybody has suggestions or alternatives, please, let me know.
24 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2003: [Western-Canada]:*NMR or CD
24 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2003: [India]:You could always give your login information to somebody else you trust and let them run Western Canada for you
24 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2003: [India]:Might I suggest a friend or relative
24 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2003: [Western-Canada]:Unfortunately, my immediate relatives are travelling with me (at least for part of the time), and the last time I let a friend run a country that I had they didn't do anything; only sheer luck I didn't get kicked.
24 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2003: [Western-Canada]:But, I will try.
24 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2003: [India]:I'm mostly kidding around
25 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2003: GameMaster: The_Noob was banned: multi/meta/no reply. The time until the next phase has been extended by one phase length to give an opportunity to replace the player.
Remember to finalize your orders if you don't want to wait, so the game isn't held up unnecessarily!
25 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2003: [India]:If everyone has put in orders then shouldn't the game progress??
25 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2003: [India]:Or are people just saving orders and not clicking ready?
26 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2003: Moderator: (Szpoti): Dear Players,
On request of one of the players, this match has been paused till 6 September. Objections the the pause should be sent to the webDiplomacy Moderator Team at webdipmod@googlemail.com.
26 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2003: [Brazil]:god
26 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2003: [India]:I think that's a bit ridiculous. He's got twonSCs and he's taking a two week vacation
26 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2003: [USA]:That is why we have the "leave game" button. The other thing is we're stillooking on the "retreat" phase. Then we have to build. I think there should be a request for a replacement. With this many players and a 2 week gap, I forsee a domino effect occurring and additional players absent once play resumes.
26 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2003: [India]:Probably. We should contact moderator
26 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2003: [Pacific-Russia]:Please cancel the game
26 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2003: [Kenya]:Why do the mods keep passing the game. Don't we get to decide that anymore, wtf.
26 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2003: [Kenya]:Pausing*
27 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2003: [Frozen-Antarctica]:yea where the hell is the leave game button?
27 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2003: [Brazil]:Let's just vote unpause
28 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2003: [Kenya]:Lol this is insane
28 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2003: [Argentina]:Yeah where's the leave button
28 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2003: [Kenya]:So what if someone was like.. oh small favor I'm taking a year vacation can you pause? Wow
28 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2003: [Russia]:We're all voting unpause but unless everyone, including Western-Canada themselves, vote to unpause it won't unpause. So that's not going to happen. Did someone contact the mod?
28 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2003: Moderator: (Szpoti): Mods normally do not engage in conversing in global, but I can see a great deal of confusion in here, and given the number of players involved, I'd like to step in. A few remarks:
1. Everyone can request a pause by contacting the Mod Team at webdipmod@googlemail.com. We normally accommodate the request, but inform the applicant that others may object, what is made public in global when announcing the pause.
2. Objections should be directed to the Mod Team at webdipmod@googlemail.com. Again, given a large number of players involved, an objection would be reasonable. So far, no formal objection has been made.
3. Voting to override mod-imposed pause is of no use, again, we need a formal objection. A simple email would suffice saying 'I oppose the pause because (reason)'. No profanity please!
4. We, as mods, remain as much impartial as possible, thus we would weigh the reasons for and against the pause. We also work on anonymity basis, that is, we won't disclose who requested, nor who objected the pause.
28 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2003: [USA]:I think the number of votes to "unpause" speak for themselves.
28 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2003: Moderator: (Szpoti): Formal objections to the pause have been directed to the Mod Team.
The match is now unpaused. We apologise for any inconvenience.
28 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2003: [India]:You're welcome team
29 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2003: [Frozen-Antarctica]:but again, where is the leave game button?
31 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 2004: [Western-Canada]:Hi All
New Western Canada here
16 Sep 18 UTC Spring, 2008: [India]:Anybody up for a draw at this point?
16 Sep 18 UTC Spring, 2008: [Kenya]:sure!
16 Sep 18 UTC Spring, 2008: [USA]:I put mine in though happy to keep playing if need be
16 Sep 18 UTC Spring, 2008: [Russia]:Fine with me too, but I second USA: feel free to keep playing if you want to.
17 Sep 18 UTC Spring, 2008: [Argentina]:Draws fine
26 Sep 18 UTC Autumn, 2010: [India]:Everyone but Europe huh?
28 Sep 18 UTC Spring, 2011: [India]:If after all this Europe is just going to be a dick. I'm done. Enjoy my SCs oz
28 Sep 18 UTC Spring, 2011: [Kenya]:Lol
02 Oct 18 UTC Spring, 2012: [India]:I do love the way Russia is pretending to want the draw
02 Oct 18 UTC Spring, 2012: [Kenya]:Hah
03 Oct 18 UTC Spring, 2012: [Russia]:I'm not cancelling my vote. I wouldn't mind a draw, but I also wouldn't mind if the game kept going for a bit.
10 Oct 18 UTC Autumn, 2013: [Kenya]:My money is on the euro solo
20 Oct 18 UTC Autumn, 2016: [Europe]:Sorry, I have missordered my conveys.
22 Oct 18 UTC [Europe]:Good game.
22 Oct 18 UTC [USA]:Yes
22 Oct 18 UTC [Near-East]:Oz survived
22 Oct 18 UTC [Russia]:Good game. Got a tiny bit worried at the end when you moved to Poland and Austria-Hungary but I don't think it would have worked.

Well played Europe!
