02 Aug 18 UTC Spring, 1901: hello!
02 Aug 18 UTC Spring, 1901: Hi there! I don't think we've every played before. Good luck!
03 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 1901: Thanks same to you :)
07 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 1905: Darn! One more try...
07 Aug 18 UTC Spring, 1906: glgl
07 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 1906: oh well either the draw that takes forever or you eke out a close win in like 1911
great recovery, i think i'll learn a lot from studying this one
07 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 1906: probably i win if I take Tun with the ION fleet in 1903 and then build another fleet to lock that spot down

ohw ell
07 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 1906: Yeah, this was a close game! I came out lucky on most of the guesses I think.
07 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 1906: I win is still a win though, so I'm gonna play it out. I actually don't mind if it takes some time. You can always retreat if you get bored.
07 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 1906: that's fine you can play it out. maybe you'll amke a mistake at some point :P
07 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 1906: when is this format supposed to hit endgame btw?
07 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 1906: Hard to say about Tunis. Now, I didn't think this through completely, but without the army in Tun you need four fleets to stalemate. So you would have had to build a fleet in 03 - and that would have slowed you down in Turkey. With one more year of time I might have attacked St.P. for the draw instead of Tun for the win.
07 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 1906: I'm not sure I know what you mean by "hit endgame"...
07 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 1906: i meant when the system calls it outright a draw
iirc it's like 1915 on playdip, idk if it does it at all in this format here
07 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 1906: getting the spring 1901 moves in my favor super hard should have just more or less locked in a win for me, i think i need to really study what went wrong

which honestly is hlepful, most of my meta consists of being on one side or the other of Pic-Bur-Lon vs Ven-Tyr-Gal/Rum or Alb-Tyr-Tri, so it's nice to see some interesting games that do other stuff
08 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 1906: Oh it's an authomatic draw by 1915?!? I did not know that...
08 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 1906: I don't think it is possible to lock in a win in S01. You have to take a chance at some point.
08 Aug 18 UTC Spring, 1909: ah well just one turn too slow down south
08 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 1909: I'm not sure I ever saw 6 Austrian fleets before...
08 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 1909: My only chance was in southern waters so I committed fully to that concept lol
08 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 1910: lol i really thought that was gonna work that turn :P
08 Aug 18 UTC Spring, 1911: You're trying all the tricks in the book!
10 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 1911: Eh it’s obvious now unfortunately
