06 Sep 18 UTC finally got tired of dancing around with random moves hoping that one of us would do something dumb, eh?
06 Sep 18 UTC Seemed like Austria could have been safely eliminated for a three way, but I’ll defer to more educated opinions...
06 Sep 18 UTC I think if you'd actually backed off instead of dancing around, it could have been accomplished. I was pretty worried when you initially backed off. That trust is hard in a gunboat though, especially if you then send two armies into Galicia and Ukraine the turn after you back off.

The site stole one of our coins. I demand justice!
06 Sep 18 UTC I don't agree that it was safe to eliminate Austria, you had 16 SC, not 14... Moscow and Brest were essentially captured SC.

You would have had to really, really back off, not just dance and hover around.

Perhaps had you actually backed way off from England and France and let me actually have part of it, instead of just partly danging it out there, so to speak...
06 Sep 18 UTC also both armies in Gal and Ukraine would have had to back way away as well. way too dangerous with 16 SC and two German armies in Ukraine and Gal... We try to kill Austria and he gives you bud and Vienna and it's a solo
06 Sep 18 UTC Snuck my way into another game again! Thanks, Austria and Italy for keeping me alive when it could've been accomplished to finish me off. I thought last season, Austria, that you were going to move to Moscow and I would move to Sevastopol but it worked out differently. Thanks, guys!
06 Sep 18 UTC I didn't think it worth the risk to try to cut you out turkey, and then you repaid the favor later.

Once Germany signaled that he wanted me out, I wasn't going to take any action that put him further from a solo. That means not moving on Moscow, not moving to a stalemate line closer to him, etc. I needed to retain the ability to throw on very short notice.
06 Sep 18 UTC I sent you a pretty big warning sign to not try to cut out turkey, when I shifted and shifted back...
06 Sep 18 UTC I thought you were just thinking about coming for me!
06 Sep 18 UTC not at all, that was just a friendly: "move on turkey or build a fleet and you're dead" which is why I moved away immediately. Just a shot across the bow...
06 Sep 18 UTC I moved on Turkey when he built the two armies, but I never meant to go further than sev. I didn't even anticipate getting sev, as I think that only happened because he nmrd.
06 Sep 18 UTC I think turkey intended to send those armies via convoy to Moscow, Ukraine Warsaw region, not against you. He could have signaled that better by building them in Smyrna and Ankara, not in con.
06 Sep 18 UTC That's possible. Building an army on con after Germany signaled that he wanted me out was a pretty clear signal to me that I should defend though.
06 Sep 18 UTC look at the move he did right after, convoy to sev...

anyways, good game all, enough postmortem...
06 Sep 18 UTC Yeah, I was super-surprised at his moves after those builds.

Good game everybody!
06 Sep 18 UTC I wonder who the old Turkey player was... I was only here for 2 seasons or so. I think Turkey's general stagnation probably staved the old Turkey off, but this isn't the first time I've taken over for a Turkey in a high stakes game before.

Thanks again, guys. Good game
06 Sep 18 UTC He had a drawn position -- nobody was in any position to cut him out. Weird time to leave!
06 Sep 18 UTC I know, but hey, I'll take the 250. Who knows, maybe the player that left has that extra coin you were referring to.
