26 Jul 18 UTC Autumn, 1906: Instead of western triple the Europe’s were met by eastern triple
Russia, Austria, and Italy taking over ripple by ripple
But the question remains
Will their alliance be retained
Or will Austria merely be a green and purple stain?
26 Jul 18 UTC Autumn, 1906: Dear England signed up for a game
And was wiped off the map in mere days
So he meddled in rhyme
But he flubbed the last line
He writes limericks as well as he plays
28 Jul 18 UTC Autumn, 1906: Hey now
28 Jul 18 UTC Autumn, 1906: Letters burning by my bed for you
01 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 1907: Well it looks like it’s the four of us. I want to compliment your diplomacy efforts France. This game has been slower, and odder, than I’m used to.
01 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 1907: Perhaps this is a good place to draw it then?
01 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 1907: The Eastern triple calls, with its forbidden and mysterious allure...
16 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 1909: Its me stalling this game out recently, and I wholeheartedly apologize. I knew august would be a transitional period for me, but I had no idea the game would still be going now. Sorry to all of you. I will be a lot better about readying up.
20 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 1910: Italy does not deserve to be in this draw.. he has made literally zero progress in five years, while I was also fighting two other countries... Should have been wiped out in 06. Game would have ended much sooner
21 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 1910: I salute your perseverance, France. You die with honor.
22 Aug 18 UTC Autumn, 1910: As do I (salute France). You played quite well, and I appreciate the way you are attacking the endgame.

But to be honest, I disagree with you on whether Italy deserving it, and view that comment as inappropriate sleen. Italy has also played an excellent game. As I expressed to you privately, I agree that Italy could have been eliminated faster than you. But I could not see a way to eliminate him and solo given both your and Russia's skill. So then the benefit would have been pure speed of game rather than increasing chances of solo. And at that point, Id rather work with someone Ive shown I can work with. So Italy's early play garnered my willingness to stick with him, and he deserves it just as much as I do or Russia does.
05 Sep 18 UTC Good game all. I think the deciding factor for me for the longest time was the perceived strength of the AI alliance... not sure how it was from the inside, but suffice to say I'd have turned on Austria pretty quickly given the chance. Italy didn't seem interested in turning on Austria after Turkey fell and so on it went for a wacky 3WD. Fun game, thanks for playing. :)

Question for France, why'd you turn on Germany in whatever year it was? I was worried you two could've held out together.
05 Sep 18 UTC He told me to take him and the damage control was getting to a point where I figured if I got most of his centers and forced you to hold a few turns I could convince austria to attack Italy, which would have led to a 3 year earlier draw.
05 Sep 18 UTC Ahh fair enough. Yeah I was nearly convinced to attack Austria when you proposed I go for a solo but Italy and Austria would have bunkered me pretty fast I think.
05 Sep 18 UTC I have to give Austria most of the credit for our early alliance. He took a big risk early on to gain my trust. It allowed some very strange plays.

Also credit Austria for some deft talking down when those strange plays were almost too much for me.

Russia, I admire your work up North, solid tactics.

I'm also curious about France/Germany. I assumed it must be that Germany didn't want to play it out. I don't think the lines could have held, but it would have been much slower going.

England, I apologize for the put-down. I was edgy because this game was giving me ulcers. You limerick just fine.
05 Sep 18 UTC I never said for you to take my centers, I said you could if you wanted to (and there was nothing I could do to stop it) but until you did, I would just be your units on the front line to stall as long as possible.

Funnily enough, even after I told you you could do it if you wanted, you still lied and said you wouldn't when I genuinely didn't care :P I was going to die either way. I think I did misorder once though and thats my bad.

This was a really interesting game, I wish I had more time for it. France was great, but honestly made me nervous really this whole game. I felt kinda bad for just absolutely blindsiding England 3v1 like that, but oh well its diplomacy. I really enjoyed working with Russia as well.

What REALLY shocked me (and continues to) is the play down south. Incredible. It really seemed like Russia was having his way, which in the end is what spelled my doom. If Russia didn't have such free reign in Turkey, and unbreakable trust w/ R/I/A, I think its unlikely he would have been able to go all out on me the way he did (at least that early).
05 Sep 18 UTC Yea Germany, my decision to go through with finally taking you was last minute. I let you know I was considering it, just didn't get back to you before I actually went through with it. It was an attempt to get russia to head towards austria. As long as I propped you up, he would not budge in his alliance with austria.
05 Sep 18 UTC Germany, when I saw that Austria and Italy were sharing centers and that russia was on board with them, I new that the fight with england had to be finished quickly, because Italy was quickly going to be heading my way
05 Sep 18 UTC This was just one of those games where as long as RAI stick together, the outcome was inevitable unfortunately. big mistake in my opinion was not getting you a build earlier Germany
09 Sep 18 UTC The irony of a broken alliance ending with failure on all parts
