14 May 18 UTC Spring, 1901: Moderator: (ghug): Welcome to the 2018 Gunboat Tournament!

You've been placed into seven games. If you're not in seven games, you haven't received each power exactly once, or you feel you've been put in the tournament in error, please contact me as soon as possible.

Games have been paused to ensure that nobody misses a phase due to the abnormal nature of the game starts. If you have not voted unpause by Wednesday, May 15th, I will contact you and begin docking from your seven days of allocated pause time in one day increments. If you need a pause, please let me know.

Good luck!

30 Oct 18 UTC GG. You are lucky that Twinky kept his 'draw' vote... I was thinking that it was you who was Germany. I didn't understand else why he played the 'draw' so soon. Good luck in the final.
30 Oct 18 UTC gg, particularly to turkey. disappointed that england ended what was looking like the beginning of a nice western double.
30 Oct 18 UTC Whoah....I thought I was dead!

Yeah, I realized a tad too late that you had to kill me off to make the final. I was gonna be content with the 3wd. I think if you hadn't tried to be so cute about it, you could've brute-forced me.

Was the the original Austria? I have no idea why they wouldn't help me knock you out earlier. I was beyond frustrated.
30 Oct 18 UTC *was this...meaning Doug
30 Oct 18 UTC But well played all. This was a nerve-wracking game for me....wasn't quite sure what to do half the time because I didn't want to upset the boards balance.
30 Oct 18 UTC Yeah. I wanted to take War before stabbing you else I was fearing the German's solo... I lacked a little turn.

What frustrated me a lot with former Austria is that he could have taken Mun with 100 % certitude when he left the game ! That would have changed the whole game.
30 Oct 18 UTC I wasn't in the tournament. I came in to this game beginning with the Autumn 1914 movement phase as a replacement for Austria and took over a small position in another game - both to help ghug get this round finished.
30 Oct 18 UTC Ya sorry I put in a draw vote in 1910 because I just wanted this game to be over. Lasted a way too long for me :P

I did like playing against you all though, it was fun. Sorry if my draw negatively impacted your tournament placements :)
30 Oct 18 UTC I forgot the draw vote was even there... I was just kinda mindlessly playing this game towards the end.
30 Oct 18 UTC Well cheers Doug, thanks for taking over. CptMike, don't forget that Ruhr disband either. Keeping that unit alive would've changed the game.

And no worries Twinky, it positively impacted mine :)

Why didn't you put an army into Liv though? It was possible to do so safely, and it would've guaranteed you kept Warsaw.
30 Oct 18 UTC And a shout-out to France too, I thought you played a good game, even though we were never close friends.
